Bought the 42 piece "extra fine tip" set for a project and they worked beautifully! Very happy with the pen's overall performance. I drew/painted some little rubber rain boots. The boots, unfortunately, did not stay painted for long. After the first wear, the paint ended up cracking off. I did some research before hand and thought with all the steps I took that it would last longer but it did not. Regardless, that's not a fault of these pens but of the fact that rubber is too flexible to be painted with acrylic paint. Rubber bends and moves too much so that's why the paint cracked and chipped. I'm going to try these pens out with canvas slip-on shoes and see how that goes. I'll try and provide an update later on that. In the meantime, I leave a 5 star review on these. Working in layers, the colors build wonderfully, I was most impressed with the white pen as it has a very strong opacity so all I needed was 2-3 layers to get the coverage I was looking for. The paint dries to an almost matte-like finish. The tip on these pens is similar to a fine tip sharpie. It's almost like working with a sharpie but the dry time is not as quick (obviously). Maybe a minute or two for it to fully dry enough to add the next layer. Because I was working with rubber, if I made a mistake I could just use some rubbing alcohol to clean up the mistake easy-peasy without any problems. The paint did not stain the boot or anything like that. While I was drawing/painting, I did have to pump and shake the pen often for more paint to release from the chamber, but that is the case with most paint pens, and was what I expected when I bought these. I'm also happy that they give you 2 black pens and 2 white pens as those 2 colors are what I use the most for my projects. If there is one complaint that I do have, it's that there is only one red pen out of the whole set. No other shade of red is provided which meant I hade to dig out my tubes of red acrylic paints and brushes in order to get the darker shade of red you see on the rocket. It's not that big of a deal, but it's something I noticed that could be improved. There is a surplus of blues, however, so if you have a blue based project then this is the pen set for you lol. ... show more

I absolutely love this product for rock painting and won't use anything else. Super easy to use and colors are vibrant. Paint quality is great too it doesn't run and isn't watered down. Will definitely be buying again

I wasn’t sure about these because I usually use Posca-Pens. But I thought I would take a chance on these because it’s a nice set with a lots of pretty colors. I just received them today and the box came very beat up and unsealed on the top. Here’s the thing that really irritates me the most about them and made me remove a star : they’re not labeled by color AT ALL. Yeah, there’s a chart on the back of the box but some colors are so similar if someone held a gun to my head and tell me to name the color, well, I’d get blown away. Besides that, there’s a great array of colors and I’m going to really enjoy painting with these. They’ll be great for detail work on my rocks. I made a little doodle in my black notebook and the nibs balled up a little, so be careful. One point I want to make that I like about these is the opacity of them. I only had to make two coats while drawing my little doodle of my furbaby in heaven. They also layer well so you can get some depth to your drawings/paintings. We’ll see how they hold up! The Artistro 30 fine tip paint markers come in a very nice box with a metal clasp.The box is lovely and makes a good place to store them on my desk. Upon opening the box, the markers are labeled on the caps with a number which corresponds with a color chart on the back of the box, which I find makes it easy to find the exact color I’m looking for. I also really like that it comes with an instruction card and two replacement nibs. The paint markers come in a nice variety of colors including pastels, neons, skin colors, and metallics. I really like the variety of colors in this set. The one critique I have about the colors would be that 41 and 55 (beige and coral pink) look like they may be mislabeled as 55 looks more beige and 41 looks more coral. Also the pastel purple doesn’t really look pastel to me, and the fuchsia is really a dark pink. Other than that, the colors are beautiful and looked great when I made a swatch of all the colors. The pens were really quick to prime. I worked on a few different projects to test them out, wood slice ornaments, rocks, and a canvas painting. I did have a couple problems which may be due to being new to paint pens. Since they are fine point they are great for details, not so much for coloring in large areas. I noticed after using them for the second or third time that while some of the pens remained opaque, others became watery and needed to be shaken quite vigorously to get paint to go on better. I do have a set of 15 medium tip Posca pens I bought shortly before these. In comparing the two, Posca does have better coverage and opacity, especially over black. However, the Artistro is a great choice considering the variety of colors and how many markers you get for the price compared to Posca. The Artistro 30 set was about $38 vs. $30 for the 15 set of Posca. I had a lot of fun drawing with them and experimenting on different surfaces. I think this set, combined with the cute box, and the variety of beautiful colors, would make a great gift for any level artist and I would certainly recommend them! ... show more
