My dog and I are thrilled with this purchase! The only con, the neighborhood cats like it too! If the dog vacates her house, they are enjoying the heat in her absence lol It is a fantastic purchase! Mine is plugged into a timer to regulate electricity usage. It stays nice and warm in frigid Colorado weather.

I was hoping it would be warmer but I imagine that would make it too warm for their bodies. They seem to like it but will probably have to get another one as the older cat takes over

It's still too warm here to gauge how the outdoor cats will react but my own indoor cats have really taken a shine to these heated beds after rejecting heating pads (set on low and covered in a towel) in the past. They like the way the bed cushions their joints and pressure points and find the removable, washable cover quite comfy. I really intended all three that I ordered to go outdoors for the local ferals to keep warm, but I can see I will have to order more if I want to stick with that plan. The heating pad tends to shift somewhat during use, but that's easily corrected every three or four days by reaching inside. A very good buy!

First, noticed it was not as thick as the image depicts. Second, no way to adjust heat level, just plug it in, one heat setting. Third issue, the entire pad does not heat up, only a small section. I don’t believe this is defective, just think the heating coils aren’t dispersed to heat entire pad. I’ve purchased a few other brands that offered heat settings and a timer but this one doesn’t.

The size is as described and the cover is well sewn. However, the water resistant fabric is noisy. The heating pad is barely warm in spots but maybe that’s enough when it’s freezing out. We will see.
