It's a great card. Running modern games at 1440p with maxed settings is very doable, sometimes at 120fps depending on how demanding the game is. Raytracing capabilities are "ok" but I've found myself turning them off in the games that support them. Most notably Capcom's RE engine games which seem to be finicky with raytracing and will crash presumingly if your gpu can't easily power thru the setting. No worries though, path tracing is where it's at and it's going to be quite a few years before mid range gpus can handle that. ... show more

This is a great gpu with very impressive cooling. Mine runs at 60 degrees Celsius under full load and maxes out at 215 watts. It performs identically to my 3080 at a fraction of the power consumption. The provided gpu anti sag mount is a nice plus and one of the better things in my opinion is the plug is inset a bit to help the angle not be so hard on the 16 pin 12vhp cable. The manual also specifies to use 2 separate 8pin connectors rather than one and a daisy chain. Overall it’s great. Just buy it it’s worth it. ... show more

I have an ultrawide 1080p monitor (2560x1080) and this gpu completely destroys everything I throw at it. I’m able to consistently hit over 100fps in anything I play at max settings, with raytracing on. I fully expect this to last me years. The only con: Price. If you’re able to grab this card at MSRP, it’s a no brainer. I believe this is one of the most quiet and cool 4070 at the moment. ... show more

I am upgrading from a rtx 3060 ti evga xc (RIP) and that thing was loud when gaming. This thing is super quiet and keeps the temps in the 60s. The performance bump is ok in my opinion, I was getting 80-90 with the rtx 3060 ti and now I get 120-130, both running at max settings on 1440p. Overall I recommend unless you have a bigger budget then I would suggest the amd 7900xt instead. ... show more

It's not only a quiet GPU, but its temperatures are also very stable and low. Even under full load, the hotspot temperature doesn't exceed 70°C, which is impressive.
