The gas is fine and does as expected but it's an alternative to the original mapp gas, they no longer manufacture the original mapp gas bc apparently this is easier to produce and more efficient, less harmful but I dnt feel like it burns quite as hot as mapp gas , it may get a little hotter than propane but you'd need a thermometer to see the difference in temp between the two, all in all great product but I may just go with propane bc it's cheaper and does in my opinion the same thing

I got this stuff after using a whole bottle of Propane and a whole bottle of MAP PRO gas to heat up a 12" Jon Boat section to do brazing to fix two holes (about a centimeter big). I had also bought this torch attachment that allowed for a bigger blue flame and with the duo it worked amazingly and only took about a minute to heat the metal and melt the brazing rods! I had tried for line 15 minutes with the other gases and a propane torch and got nowhere! I definitely recommend this product!

MAPP gas is the only way to go for soldering copper pipe in plumbing. It burns hot a d saves a lot of hassle for not having cold soldered pipe joints. Will last longer but worth the price difference for regular propane. Highly recommend this product.
