this accessory is sold as an option to install the YI Home on the walls, but it turns out that the original base of the YI Home are designed to be mounted on the wall, just have to turn the base and go, install with 3 screws and left perfect. I do not know why Yi Techonology does not describe this in its manual, it is not necessary to spend these 14 dollars ... show more

I was a bit skeptical about how good these cameras would be, but I was very surprised with how great they have turned out. The price for the set is great. The camera provides SD and HD feed. The HD setting provides great quality and the sound is really good. There is a little lag when talking thru the camera to the person on the other end, but that is minimal and not a deal breaker. These are super easy to install. The power brick is similar to a phone adapter and uses a USB to mirco USB cable to power the camera. If you want to plug in behind a cabinet that is close to a wall, you will need to leave room for the adapter since it sticks out a bit. These cameras work faster and are more reliable than the Nest cameras I have and sooooo much less expensive. ... show more

I love these. So easy to set up and use. Just plug in, scan the barcode and connect to internet. You can see all of your cameras on the app (not just two as another buyer said) - just scroll down and see them all. Pick the one you want to work with and easy peasy, change settings or view live action. I have two sets (8 cameras) set up in my house to monitor my animals during the day and on 24/7 when we are out of town. I am also able to monitor the exterior doors by placing cameras on window sills without glare. I have the motion sensors on with activity areas set so that I am looking for motion in a particular area, not the entire wide angle camera view. Which, by the way, one camera has an enormous view and it is not distorted. The picture quality is superb. Even at night, excellent quality picture. The motion sensors are VERY sensitive, even when set on low. Can get annoying for the cameras monitoring the outside doors because the sensor picks up the hedges blowing and sends me a text but I love the 6-second video it takes of the motion activity. Quickly can tell if there is a problem and you have the ability to turn on the audio to listen to what the camera is seeing or talk to someone (or your pet) from the camera. Really happy with these. I LOVE THESE!! It helped me catch the man who tried to steal tools from us. I also have a serverly handicapped father, so when I have errands to run. I am still able to watch and listen to him. The two way mics are great to have, I was able to talk to and listen to my son and father back home while I was across the US on vacation. I’ve purchased 3 sets so far. One for myself, after seeing how good they worked I purchased 2 more sets for my friends and they love them as well! I would totally recommend these security cameras to anyone! Especially if you have elders or children in the home. Another phenomenal thing about these security cameras is the durability. They say they’re indoor, but I set one up outside my front door the day after I bought them. It’s been through extreme weather change. The beautiful sunshine, many thunderstorms including hail, and the brutal long cold winter in Northern MN near Canada and they all still work just as awesome as the day I bought them!     • Reasonably priced cameras work very well
I ordered a pack with four and ordered two more to monitor my 90 years young mother who is home alone during the day. It has been a relief since I installed these cameras, I can check how she is and what she is doing, She has fall risks and having cameras install in the house gives me coverage of all areas, viewing area is very good. I can talk to her as well. App is easy to manage on my cell phone. Really happy with quality and amount of money I spent on these cameras. Other cameras are very expensive and beyond my reach. Top it off no monthly subscription unless you want it. ... show more

    • They work, but difficult to work!
The product I ordered did work and do what I needed it to do, but the clips wouldn't clip on to the camera base easily. I had to use a screwdriver and very carefully pry the plastic so I could fit the camera base. The first two clips went on easy it's just the single last clip that gets snagged. Hopefully you had an easier time installing this than I did. Overall though I'm happy with my purchase my home is more secure now. This was the reason I had to dock a few Stars, other than that I'm really happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Video app and playback is HORRIBLE-camera is decent if you have time to watch everything live
So I went with the YI because google bought nest and I wasn't a fan of their terms of service which won't record your voice but will convert everything to text and keep it. But after using the YI sadly I may have to go back to nest because the video app is so bad comparatively. It's fine if you watch live but who has time for that... I paid for the playback and not only does it only record when it THINKS their is motion but the playback is so horrible that by the time you are done waiting for it to load (which is forever) you wait another million years to actually see whatever motion it detected. I have yet to be able to wait long enough without the video buffering again to ever see anything in playback mode. I don't have ANY of these issues with nest. I also hate that I can't open the app and just see a quick snapshot of what is going on like nest. I have to open each individual camera to see what is happening and with how long it takes to load makes it too much of a nuisance to deal with. So I am retuning all my unopened YI products and going back to my nest until maybe they come up with a better video app. Really sad. ... show more
