I am a small-scale modeler and I use these cards to make patterns, stencils, and sculpting "jigs" when I need something "unique" as a micro-tool, especially when working with a clay-like material before it hardens. Thick enough to be useful, thin enough to be worked. Being transparent I can easily see the item I am working on thru them which makes these cards invaluable to me. Being individually inexpensive I am free to try out different ideas until I find the shape or curve or what-not I really need. I had to do a project that involved making Gift cards and these seemed to be the best bet. They encode properly 95% of the time. I have had about five in each batch that just seem to not want to encode the data properly. Even so, I am still happy with the purchase.
