Installed this on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler with the 430N head unit and premium alpine sound (retaining factory amp). The noise floor on the analog outputs was high. I could hear the speakers hiss even with the engine running - the sound you would get from turning up the gain too high on an amplifier. At first i thought this was due to the "minimum volume level being too high". I proceeded to calibrate the minimum volume as per instructions, and although the volume was corrected, the speaker hiss remained unchanged. I tested the amplifier with other sources and they confirmed the issue was due to the Amppro4. To top it all off, the unit transmitted ENGINE NOISE through the RCA outputs! Rising and falling with the tachometer. I tried emailing PAC in hopes of further troubleshooting assistance - did not hear back. I very badly wanted this unit to work. I was hoping i may have missed a step in the installation, but there is really nothing to it. Plug in the T harness behind the head unit, plug the other connector to the Amppro4. It did however retain all factory settings - nav promps, vol, fad, eq, bal. Really got my hopes up with this unit. Will be returning the Amppro4. ... show more
