I like the small foot print of this INNODIGYM cable system smart home gym...29.5"D x 13.8"W x 2.1"H. Although it requires AC power to operate, (it has an AC cord length of almost 7’) if you can plug it in, it will probably fit into the location you want. I also like that it is portable and storable (don’t store it in a closet and forget about it)! It can be tipped on it’s side so that it is horizontal and that only takes 2” of depth. You can use just one cable or use both cables for exercising sets of muscles. You can stand on the cable housing to do most of the exercises, sometimes you’ll kneel upon the housing. You can even mount a different model to the wall...that is called the P1 Lite Plus and is a different model than the one I received. It does seem as though this P1 Lite that I am reviewing is mountable though...there are four pre-cut holes in the base-plate. The differences I see between the two models are the hidden handles and the wall hanging training mounts for the P1 Lite Plus. I believe the hidden handles lock the machine to the wall hanging training mounts. The P1 Lite Plus is $70 more than the P1 Lite. Resistance adjustment, resistance ON/OFF, Mode Adjustment are easily changed with app or machine. The resistance adjustment is only available in KG. The advert says the machine is capable of a max resistance of 133 lbs...66 lbs on each side. The resistance ON/OFF light was counter intuitive to me...the red light means the machine is in running mode and ready to use – green is for standby, cables unloaded. There are four training modes that are available. Standard, Eccentric, Chain, and Speed. I usually use Standard Mode. The app is easy to install and pairs with the machine seamlessly. It provides over 20 pre-programed workouts and shows you how to perform most of the movements via separate little movie clips. It interfaces with the machines physical controls for Resistance adjustment, resistance ON/OFF, Mode Adjustment. I use this INNODIGYM in conjunction with my PF monthly gym membership. They both have a place in regular exercising...especially if you have a sedentary job. The gym has Stairmasters and treadmills and other specialty equipment. It’s also nice to get out of the house and meet others at the gym. Using the INNODIGYM at home means you don’t have to drive through traffic or town to get there, and you can exercise in whatever apparel suites your fancy. This machine takes away the excuses and makes it easy and convenient to get a really good workout at home.

As someone who loves weight training but hates going to the gym, the invention of these machines is brilliant. It's great for at home workouts, and the versatility it offers in a small footprint is pretty phenomenal. It is not without it's faults though -- Safety is the main concern with this machine. The red means its loaded and the green means it is not -- I think they got this backwards. In my brain, red means STOP or do not use, but with the machine it's the opposite. Very scary because at one point I lifted the machine when it was red, clicked green, and it snapped back the cables. I think the interface has a lot of room for improvement. The functions don't totally make sense to me, even with the instruction booklet. I love the smaller size - it literally fits underneath my couch and I can workout while I watch TV and then slide it back under the couch when I want to relax. The concept of the machine is great. The execution leaves much to be desired. BUT for someone who is on a budget and wants a machine that can do a lot and fit in a little space, this is a great option.

First off, I like this home gym. It provides adequate resistance, and unlike a lot of these types of products, the resistance is both concentric and eccentric. There are a couple of issues. For one, you need to plug it in. I knew this beforehand, but the pictures don't make this clear. Second, while it's compact, it is definitely not portable (apart from the need for electricity). There's no way you're fitting this in your luggage or anything like that. I mean, if you're driving somewhere, it will fit in the trunk, but there are more "portable" home gyms available. The other issue is that the units are in kilograms. Yeah, I know, us Americans and our imperial units. Still, they could have made it so you can change them, but you can't. Lastly, the user interface is difficult to work with when changing the settings (apart from adjusting the weight, which is easy). Now, I know I wrote a lot of complaints, but that's just my honest take on the thing. Really, this is a good piece of equipment that provides decent resistance in not a lot of space. Just be aware of what you're getting. It's not something you're going to travel with.

I have to say that I have always be a tried and true cardio girl: walking, running, elliptical, bike, kick boxing or any kind of gym class. The doctor said that I need to start strength training though. The opportunity to get this machine was available and I took it. I wanted to see what it was all about and get some of that training in that I needed. First off, love that it has an app that syncs with my phone. I like to keep track. I like to think I’m competing with someone even though it is not true. And, I have to say, this machine is kicking my butt. I started sweating like I have never sweated before. It was a whole new experience for me. I think that it is the coolest thing as well. You have to get one and try it out yourself to understand. I try to get on it daily and work out different parts of my body. The machine itself is really well made and I have viewed others on Amazon to see what is comparable to see what else is offered out there. This is a good price for what you get. I would recommend it. It is worth it.
