This is a great deal for 3 very useful tools for non-stick cooking. It’s easy to do the math and see what these 3 items would cost individually. I needed a basic set while traveling and grabbed this. I already own both metal and nylon tipped OXO 12” tongs and was never interested in the shorter ones, but I find I really like them. They offer a lot of control. The flipper is a nice size and flexibility and slips under food nicely. There seem to be a lot of negative comments that it melts. I guess I don’t cook at such high temps in non-stick cookware because I haven’t found that to be a problem. I’ve only used it for eggs, pancakes and such, and at the temps I cook it’s fine. When I cook at very high temps I use my stainless cookware with metal utensils. The spatula is sturdy and a nice flexibility — stiff enough to push things around and add some pressure, but soft enough to get into curves. ... show more

    • Great products except for one design oversight.
We are developing a love for OXO products. I bought these to accompany a 10” non-stick frying pan. Well-priced. These utensils are well made, and I suspect will serve a long time. The only shortcoming is the length of the frying pan spatula is a bit short. This means my hand is closer to the frying pan than I would like. 2”-2-1/2” longer would be a lot safer and more comfortable (similar to my other spatulas). The handle of the silicone scraping spatula is the same length of my other scraping spatulas. The smooth head of this spatula will make cleaning easy. We really like the design of the tongs with licking mechanism at the end. We will be buying the longer ones at some point to replace our old-school ones. ... show more

I had purchased these for myself individually a few years ago and because I love them so much I bought them from my mom and they came in a package together. The other tongs she has keep pinching her fingers when she uses it. The Oxo one does not and it’s easy to use and lock in place. It’s ergonomic handles make it comfortable for her to use. I’ve had my spatula for a couple years and it’s holding up just fine. It did bend curl forward a bit, but I was able to straighten it with a little heat from the pan. No biggie. ... show more

    • Good quality set
First off, the price of this set was very good when I purchased it. It was only about 20% higher than buying any single one of these pieces indivudually. Second, I have not had any problems with the quality of my tongs or spatula. They hold up very well to everything I've put them through, even frying in hot grease on the stove. The only damage that my tongs have taken were when they were directly exposed to the fire of my gas stove after I had sat them down in an inappropriate place. This was my own fault, and they still only had minimal damage. The spatula, while I greatly enjoy using it and find it easy to clean, seems like it could be better. I usually just clean it by hand, but sometimes I do toss it in the dishwasher, especially if I have finished cooking for the day and know I won't need it for a while. The rubber along the edges of the blade is shorn a bit. I'm not sure if these fragments have come off in the washing machine or other times, but I have noticed it when inspecting the blade. Additionally, the blade does not connect very well with the handle. They are easily separable. This hasn't been a problem with most things but stirring thicker batters has caused me to lose the head in the mix. Still, it is my favorite mixing and stirring spatula at the moment, and I would recommend this set, especially over purchasing the items individually. ... show more

Overall, these tools worked amazing. They do exactly what you'd expect, and deliver the quality you know from OXO. The one thing to note is that the tong ends appear to be made out of a hard plastic (as opposed to a soft material). All in all, I just needed tongs with a locking mechanism which were comfortable and easy to grip. These delivered. It's nice to have the other items too, all of which have worked nicely. The price is pretty good too for this value pack, and all very useful. I can confirm that they are dishwasher safe. I have also noticed no rust, but am keeping an eye out just in case. ... show more

We recently purchased a non-stick frying pan, so we needed utensils adapted for the surface, so we ordered these OXO ones. As will all OXO products that we have purchased in the past, these were perfect for the job. As with most kitchen items, if OXO makes one we are more than likely to go with them for purchase.
