The camera looks good, design and materials is good also. The only drawback is constantly having issues to connect with the app. Usually works good but sometimes you get no connection. I have two of this cameras and both do the same thing, very frustrating when it happens. Overall seen to be a good product.

It’s better than the first generation owlet cam! This one you can have record movements, noises, cries. The camera does lag a little but still picks up sounds and movement so you’ll still get notified if baby moves or cries. You can listen to it on your phone while in other apps which is awesome! The color is BEAUTIFUL, even the cord cover was the soft rose color!

Its a nice product. However, the “heavy duty” glue on the cable cover is horrible and unsticks overnight, and there seems to be connection issues often. I had to call Owlet customer service to install and they were very friendly and easy to work with.

I decided to purchase the Cam 2 after learning about the cry notification feature. I haven’t been disappointed. The camera picks up on crying, movement and general sounds with pretty good accuracy! I love that you can adjust the sensitivity too so that every little sound doesn’t set off a notification. Sometimes the camera does cut out and I’ll need to leave the app and return to it so it can come up again. I don’t find a huge issue with this as the other notifications are working fine. Overall, this is a perfect companion to the Dream Sock and I dont regret my purchase.

We love our owlet camera! My favorite things about it are the picture quality and sound quality. The night vision is excellent. You can adjust the sensitivity to the sound in the app. It’s always alerted us immediately to any sound or cry (again, you can edit your alert preferences fully in the app). This camera does allow you to set it up to where it’ll record clips when there’s sound or movement. One of my FAV features is that it allows you to turn off the light on the camera so there’s no light shining in your baby’s face!!!! Game changer as other monitors we have had, we have to put tape over the light and it still shines through which is so annoying bc we want our baby’s room to stay pitch black. To be fully transparent, the only issue we have is that sometimes the camera doesn’t want to load in the app and we can’t see our baby until we’ve closed the app about 2 or 3 times. I just don’t know that I can fully blame that on the owlet product or app bc it definitely could be our internet. I would recommend this camera!

The only reason you may want to buy this camera is if you wanted the owlet monitoring sock and your camera to be on the same app so that you do not have to use multiple apps. With those two items combined, you also get sleep tracking. However, if you do not plan to use the sock often, or at all, then the price of this camera is not worth it. One other positive thing about this camera is the app allows the sound to be on in the background even when the app isn’t actively open on your screen. A few issues we have noticed so far: 1. If you put the owlet camera into the background and then reopen the app, it takes a while for the video stream to catch up. We usually have to close the app completely and reopen it. 2. It cannot connect to a 5ghz Wi-Fi network, or if your wifi network broadcasts 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on the same SSID you cannot connect the camera to it without playing around with your network settings to temporarily disable the 5Ghz network first. This makes the camera almost impossible to travel with since you don’t have control of Wi-Fi networks when you are traveling. 3. The image quality always appears to be a pretty low resolution. I have a strong home Wi-Fi connection, and I have never been impressed with the video quality. We have had to buy another camera for travel that was 1/4 of the price and has seemingly better video quality. We personally would not buy this camera again or recommend it.
