  • Solid as always but not up to their usual standards.
Color: Black 1-pack
I'm printing on Creality Ender 3 Pro machines that I've used for years. Very dialed in, very unproblematic machines. I've used Hatchbox, GST3D, Kodak, and Overture branded filaments on them with zero issues. Whenever I get a new filament reel it always goes into my filament dryer to make sure it's dry and good to go. No different with these two reels. They got a 12 hour session, relative humidity was brought down to 9% after 12 hours at 120'F, plenty warm enough to dry them out but not cause damage. It prints and adheres fine but there's a LOT of popping and voids from both reels on two machines. Both machines have new nozzles, new bowden tubes, the only similarities? The filament. It works. But there's a bunch of small defects. I'm surprised. Overture is usually better than this. ... show more

  • Great 3d print
Color: Black 1-pack
Very new to 3D printing, a Prusa Mini. We have 3 different brand filaments, including Overture. The other two are Amazon Basics and Prusa. Granted, the other two filaments have been exposed for about a year but it's very dry where we live. Our first prints with Amazon Basics and Prusa were rough with bubbles. I opened the Overture filament and printed with it right away, and the print came out, to me, almost flawless. I'm going to try another color and hope it prints as well as this! I added photos of the printed medal display box and to the more seasoned users, maybe it isn't as well printed as I think but I have nothing to compare it to so, judge for yourself! ... show more

  • Great prints, but tricky to start when first switching to this.
Color: Green
I have the CR-10 v3. This was the first spool of filament I bought after using up the pack that was included with my printer, and not going to lie, it gave me a lot of issues at first -- bad bed adhesion, the first layer just wouldn't stick, there were bubbles, and I would have random strings sticking out. All when it was printing perfectly fine with the previous filament. After a lot of print tests, research and some good ol' cleaning, I now get beautiful prints from the Overture PLA filament. Not all the printing issues I had were due to the filament. It was my first time changing out the filament, and I wasn't exactly being gentle when trying to switch it out, so my leveling was most likely off. But I also found that this filament needed temps that are higher than the default settings I was previously using. After searching on these reviews for suggestions on settings, it was printing better, but the first print adhesion was STILL not great and I had to watch the first layer like a hawk. I think I see residue from all the testing and failed prints getting smooshed too close to the bed, but scraping wasn't working, and the screen cleaner that has worked fine in the past doesn't seem to be doing anything. Finally decided to bring out the isopropyl alcohol AND I FINALLY HAD BEAUTIFUL PRINTS. One star off because it can be pretty tricky to get the settings and adhesion dialed in to start, and as a 3D printing newbie I got so frustrated that I almost gave up, but it I got great prints once I got it figured out. Photo (after changing the temp settings. edges are jagged because the leftover brim hasn't been sanded off yet): Left Print - before cleaning the bed with alcohol. Right Print - after cleaning. New Temperature Settings: Print Temp (nozzle) - 210 C Plate Temp (bed) - 60 C ... show more

  • Great PLA!
Color: Black 1-pack
I'm new to 3D printing, and the number and type of filaments available are potentially overwhelming. I took a chance and tried the filaments from Overture after reading some good reviews on Amazon and elsewhere and am happy I did. I've found this PLA to be easy to use, with good adhesion and an attractive appearance to finished prints. I'm running a Creality CR-10v3 with the nozzle temp set at 200, the bed set at 50 ,with 3mm of retraction, and have had no issues with either adhesion or artifacts and stringing has been so minor I hesitate to mention it. My only complaint is that I wish it came in bags that could be resealed. I love the recyclable spools and the way they mark them indicating an approximate amount remaining in both grams and meters. Great stuff, and Overture will be my first stop when I expand beyond PLA. ... show more

  • Always can count on this
Color: Light Gray
I have tried tons of different brands but always use overature in my production stuff. It's is always consistent and works well on all the different colors I use. When 3D printing there are so many variables that can mess up your print so having a consistent filament is a major factor. I have found that with Overature. When a printing issue happens, I can fix it quickly knowing it's not the filament. ... show more

  • Use this brand!!!!!
Color: Light Gray
Overture filament is one of the best out there. Never gets tangled, always comes vacuum sealed, and always perfect prints. The grey is great for prints you want to paint and sand because you can easily see what has been sanded, much easier than white or a super light color.

  • Exclusively using Overutre
Color: Silk Neon Green
I have been using only overture brand filament since I got my machine 2 years ago. Very good quality, and the price is great. Tons of colors and different varieties. I don’t see myself switch brands unless it’s free.

  • Poor finish
Color: Black & White
This was some of the first filament I purchased and printed with it for a while. I noticed my surface quality was quite low, poor adhesion and first layer always has bubbles/defects. I've tried drying it in a filament dryer, it lost quite a bit of water weight, but still poor print quality. I tried a spool of a competitors filament and it prints great. ... show more
