FAQs: Why can't the filaments stick to the build bed? 1. Check the temperature setting before printing, PLA filaments have lower extrusion temperature; 2. Check if the plate surface has been used for a long time, it is recommended to replace it with our new one to ensure an strong first layer adhesion; 3. If the first layer has poor adhesion, it is recommended to re-level the print substrate to reduce the distance between the nozzle and the surface plate; 4. If the effect is not good, it is recommended to try printing the draft before printing. I’m really happy with this filament. The color came out great, the prints looked clean, and it handled the details of my project very well. I used it to print a set of turtle-inspired hand display pieces, and the finished results turned out awesome. The filament printed smoothly without clogging, had great bed adhesion, and produced vibrant colors that really made the finished pieces stand out. Just WOW!. I'll update with photos of my prints later on. I've been searching for matte filaments and there seems to be limited options. Not only have i think i found it, i dear say i found my goldilocks filament. Ordering 3 more rolls next week as I've been printing 24hrs a day since i got it a few days ago. Excited to try other colors. Roll was nicely wound and print quality is astounding, printing is very easily and was dialed very quickly. and i have zero complaints so far. Layer lines are pretty much invisible even at .2 layer heights. .13 is jaw dropping. Been printing an order for a local hobby shop and they at first didn't believe it was 3d printed as it looked multitudes better than previous filament I've used on their order. I've been printing on my mostly stock ender 3 v2. Only modifications are z-brace rods, bltouch, dual z and printed z motor mounts. Printing here the update NY winter is usually challenging as where i print in my home can be as low as 10c ( will be finishing my enclosure soon). Saying that my only struggle has been minor corner warping and bed adhesion. but i doubt that would be an issue in warmer rooms. The issue has been resolved though as i really squish my first layer (leaves very fine elephant foot that cleans quite easily with a sharp hobby knife or 220grit sand paper) since i print 7-20 parts at a time. Can't afford failures. I am printing on the stock textured side of the ender 3 glass bed. For those with an ender 3 i do Hot end at 195-200c, 60c bed temp at 40mm sec (as i prefer quality over speed ) retract 6.5mm 50mmsec, default cura coasting settings and filament equalizer enabled. 75%-100% fan after initial 2 layers. I'd also like to add that my printed upgrades are done in hatchbox abs for strength and temperature resistance. But now any parts that aren't at risk of high temperature exposure I'm using this matte black pla because it looks that amazing and is suitably strong. If I run into any issues I'll update accordingly. Update 7 Days Later So i ordered this filament for an order for a hobby shop. Printing drag racing slot car stands. I printed 96 of these in 4 different filaments. After the first 28 this filament arrived and after the first test prints i was amazed and now only use this filament. I went through the whole 1kg roll in 6 days. Ordered another and already been printing into the 2nd roll. I've updated my nozzle temp to 210c and I'm using a .8 brass nozzle. A worth while mention is these stands i print they're only 3 bottom 2 top, 1 perimeter and 0% infill. And they're almost perfect, very light and just as strong as previous prints with .4 using 3b 4t and 2 perimeter. The watering can is from thingiverse and printed at 60mmsec, 3 bottom and in vase mode. Also worth noting i check filament diameter periodically as i go through the roll and so far it's been between 1.72-1.77mm. Overall still my new favorite go to pla. I definitely prefer a matte finish and this filament definitely delivers.

My first time using this brand and very happy with Overture PLA. Prints nice, no bubbling from moisture, and no inconsistencies with the print. Spool was perfect rolled and no tangling during use. Pla has no odor and compatible with my Snapmaker U1. I did put the new spool in a dryer box for a few hours since the humidity level of the spool was over 25% out of the bag. Could be my moisture meter, but I'm not complaining. Also I like the label on the spool with the indicator for the weight and length left. Comes in handy when printing something that takes all days and determine if you have enough to finish the print or not. Good value and almost the perfect color for the kids dumpling box thingy.

I decided to try this matte PLA filament, and it worked perfectly from the first print. The color looks great, and the matte finish gives printed parts a very professional appearance. I was especially impressed with how clean and consistent the final results turned out. As a regular Creality user, I do appreciate the convenience of their built-in RFID support with the CFS system. This filament does not offer that same plug-and-play integration, but that is a minor inconvenience compared to the excellent print quality. If you are looking for a high-quality matte PLA filament with great color and dependable performance, this is an excellent choice. Great compatibility and excellent value for money

The finish of this filament is easily my favorite. Structurally, it's not as robust as their PLA Professional. My biggest warning is this filament can be a bear to extrude right if your extruder setup isn't in perfect shape. The matte finish tends to slip more than regular pla in the extruder gears. If you can overcome that, it's a fantastic filament. Just make sure you properly dry it. Matte pla and petg absolutely suck up moisture.

Overture Matte PLA is some of the best filament in the game for hobby printing. Ultra high quality and with the right settings, produces prints you’d never guess came from an fdm printer. Notes: Keep it in a dry box to feed into the printer. Do NOT let it sit on an open spool on the back of your printer. It needs to be kept at 30% or lower humidity. Performs amazingly well at .08 layer height. Use slower printer head speeds.

I really appreciate the overall quality of Overture PLA, but I have a couple complaints that have negatively impacted my overall experience. 1) the PLA doesn't come dry. They put a tiny desicant pack in the bag with the PLA, the bag itself is not vacuum sealed, and it does not print super well out of the bag. I've gotten to rhe point where I just always dry Overture PLA because it looks and prints so much better when it is properly dry. 2) Their cardboard spools are very often significantly damaged or bent. While this may not be a big deal for many, for those who print out of driers or other devices that require the spool to role smoothly, this is a deal breaker. I've gone through most of a spool of failed prints because the spool keeps getting itself hung up and stuck. For a high quality filament company, these are really aggravating quality problems that make me look at sunlu or other competitors that pay better attention to these details.
