Performance is impressive enough that I don't care about the lack of ink. I figure two pens will be enough to put highlights on just this one 12x18" drawing with lots of bubbles, but works great for my purpose! Nice sheen, nice opacity. Nib is good, and flow is good. Hard to start, but that's the nature of these old-fashioned markers--just keep pressing the nib down until you get a dot of flow. Dry time is reasonable. Coverage is good on first coat, great on second, giving a nice blended effect. Works well over and under colored pencils. Surprisingly, no odor, so a less toxic formula than I expected. Okay, just lost two stars. Once you open it, use it all. If you try to use it a second time, the dry paint in the nib lets the paint leak out and prevents consistent flow. (It's been decades, so I don't actually remember how the old paint worked, but I'm pretty sure the toluene made the nib rewet properly. Too bad toluene is extremely toxic.) ... show more

The white markers show up very light on a red shirt. However the marker is excellent for fabric. I will try it on other color fabric in the near future. I also think the fine point is okay, but a heavier point for my project is preferable.
