I bought these for fun to use on both paper and rocks. I love them! They release ink smoothly on either smooth or rough surfaces and the metallics are truly shiny without being garish or cheap looking. The colors are vibrant and saturated, but still pair well with the matte colors from other pen sets—it gives a sheen to the same colors instead of popping/taking all of the attention, which I really like! For anyone just getting started with rock painting and not sure what size to get: I bought the 2-3mm size and it’s great for filling in larger sections while still allowing me to attempt some details, like highlights. It’s not overly wide or particularly fine; it’s a good “medium” size. Since it’s harder to control for fine details though, I would recommend also getting some fine pens (like 0.7mm) for detailed drawings, in addition to this 2-3mm size for filling in sections or backgrounds. You’d likely only need a pen wider than this 2-3mm for larger scale artwork, as this is plenty big enough for rock painting. My only complaint about this particular set of pens is that I wish it came with a white pen too (maybe pearl or iridescent for the shine). Otherwise I’m very happy with it! Been using it for a couple of months and no clogging or drying out so far. If you’re debating between the smaller or larger set of the 2-3mm pens, get the one with more pens. It’ll be worth it to have more color options! I recommend this set for quality but inexpensive paint pens, and plan to buy them again when my current set gets used up. They’d make a good gift, too!

These are very nice markers. It has vibrant colors with some metallic shine. Initially I also thought I got defective markers, because tips were long (as mentioned by some reviewers) and the tips were falling off, but reallized that I had removed the plastic tip "cover" along with with the cap. So if you have any issues make sure you did not remive it too. It does not have long tips, and tips do not fall off once you make sure only cap was removed, and not that other screw on part. I used it on fabric and worked well.

Colors are nice on the ones that work, I literally just opened the box I purchased last June, and discovered at least 1 was broken and leaking. Unfortunately my return window is already closed. UPDATE! 5-26-25 Vendor was very kind to reach out and replace the set,and did so with a very prompt response. I very highly recommend this set if you are looking for very vibrant metallic colors. Very smooth marking, and does not flood the page with excess ink.These markers are great for anything from creative freehand art, painted rocks, coloring 3d prints to birthday cards, ink is very fast drying.

These metallic paint markers are really vibrant and fun to use. The colors show up really well on dark paper, rocks, wood, you name it! They dry quickly without smudging and the glitter effect gives everything a nice pop. They are really smooth and durable but one thing to note is the tips are on the thicker side. They are great for filling in or outlining but not ideal for fine detail work. That said, the tip size is listed in the description so that’s on me, but it is noteworthy in case you are looking for something super thin. Overall, they are great for bold, sparkly DIY projects.

I was so excited to buy these for my birthday. They’re very vibrant and shiny. However, I never got a chance to use several of the colors beyond testing before they dried out. I didn’t realize the plastic seal around the felt tip is very easily loosened. If you’re not careful when removing the cap, you’ll twist loose the seal open also, and even if you put the cap back on, it dries the whole thing out. After testing I put them all back in the box and stored them flat just as recommended. But because some of the seals were loose and I didn’t know it, 3 of the markers dried out before I could really use them, including both gold colors which are why I bought the set. Very disappointed, however it id a good product if you know this and are SUPER careful this check the seal is tight before you put them back in storage.
