I had one of these before that lasted me 4 years, and got another one to replace it. I use it on my round QH so the saddle can't slip sideways, and it keeps everything in place great. I've also used it on my high-withered OTTB and it kept the saddle from slipping back. You do have to rinse it after each ride to keep it clean and sticky- same as those sticky hands you get as a kid. I picked a very expensive one of these up when in England about 8 years ago and it was amazing until it finally ripped apart. I was skeptical on this one not being as sticky and squishy but it is! And way cheaper too. I am very pleased and have been riding with it daily for a while now. *A trick is to drunk it in a water bucket before use when it looses some of its stick. ... show more

    • Very comfortable for horse and rider, prevents saddle slipping.
I tried it today for the first time. I have had a terrible time keeping my saddle from slipping forward onto my horse's scapulae. I placed the silicon pad on the horse, the shims I use behind his scapulae to keep the saddle off them went directly on top of the silicon pad. The cloth saddle pad went on top of that, then the saddle, with no additional padding. It worked great, kept everything in place. When I removed the saddle, the silicon had lost its stickiness from dust/dirt. I tried just rinsing off (intending to store it on the plastic lined cardboard that it came on) but it didn't restore the stickiness. I wish it came with more instructions for cleaning and storage in between use. I hope it will still work the next time I use it. Without the stickiness, I hope it will still prevent slipping of saddle/pad. ... show more

    • Anti-slip!
I had trouble with my saddle slipping with my round pony ... this Anti-slip silicone does the job! I do have to rinse it off every other ride-sometimes after every ride. If I don’t, it does not stick to his back.

    • Love these but ...
Love these but they only last about a year and the silicone breaks down. They are washed after every use. They get sticky and stretchy and the holes get huge and they tear. We ride ~1000 miles per year.

This is a wonderful pad for a slipping saddle. My horse is very round and saddle slippage was a real problem . I put this right on his back and my well fitting saddle on top of it. No slipping at all. The jelly consistency of the pad seems to be enough cushion for the saddle. Very happy with this product. I would like to see it available in more larger sizes. ... show more

    • No more slipping saddle!
This pad does a great job of keeping my saddle from slipping on my round-barreled mare. It goes between the horse and the regular saddle pad. Gets sweaty but just hangs dry or rinse and hang dry.
