Really happy with this pad so far. It fits both my horse (14.3, longer body) and saddle (synthetic) really well. The first time I used it we went on a 12 mile road ride and it seemed to offer great padding and the sweat marks afterward were consistent. It was breathable in the 85 degree weather and lightweight for both me and my horse. Id recommend this for anyone looking for a medium padded pad!

Instead of getting 12 extra shims, you get none. Only the 4 skinny little shims that come in the pad. No help from Amazon or the manufacturer who apparently is out of business. This is useless and going back.

Okay, yeah, it's got build up pad inserts but they are paper thin... and yeah, it's easy to wash but it provides no real support to the saddle or horse. I could see this item being worth $30 maybe as an addition to another pad as a true build up. But it in no way is good on its own.

Love the squishy feel. My saddle hasn't slipped. Very airy so horse back can breathe better. What I didn't like : I was shorted on the shims. Only got 3 supposed to have gotten 4. And one looked like it had been dragged through the dirt. Contacted Amazon and they reshipped another pad out when I only requested the shims. So great customer service. This is a 1/2 inch pad with out the shims and was what I needed for my flexible panel saddle. You can adjust the shims where needed. Or take them out if not needed.

I purchased this saddle pad for an older horse with a little more swayback than usual. I use this pad and layer with another pad to provide adequate support and comfort to protect his spine. This is easy to clean and provides the necessary comfort for both horse and rider.
