I have 2 of these pads for both of my horses... I cut the stuips off as I don't use them. This pad is great and I use it for endurance and trail riding. It is super comfortable. After about 200-300 miles the seat will start to compress so I added in a fleece saddle pad that is kept in place by the straps and I did change out the girth for one that suited my horses better, and had to make the holes bigger to accommodate the new girth. By itself it does slip around but once I added in a beast collar it is held in place. Kinda sad they changed out the style as I was going to get a 3rd one but currently unsure how the new style will work. But yes I absolutely love this pad. ... show more

The bareback pad is super comfy, I never got a cinch with it which I'm not to happy about. The stirrups I ended up having to take off due to the them coming undone during ride and I about feel of a few times because of it, plus when the stirrups did work the buckles would dig into my calf which was uncomfortable. All around though it's very comfy just wish they made one without stirrups or made it so the stirrups were positioned better. I would definitely purchase again. ... show more

You still have to mount your horse like you are riding bareback. The stirrups are a great addition, once you are on. Very comfortable. Love the saddle bags to carry water ++

This is actually not too bad, it does have a few problems, mainly with the straps. The saddle part is well made but the nylon straps are cheaper and are made for a very large and fat horse, however I made it work with my 14 HH Morgan gelding. I had to modify the straps a little so it would fit him but it does the job. Don't try to mount using the stirrups, it's not stable enough for that - use a mounting block. The cinch that comes with it is huge, so I had to use a smaller one on my horse. I don't expect to go on really long trail rides with this saddle, but shorter leisurely rides around the pasture or down the dirt road and back. Be mindful of the nylon straps, if they're not cinched down really really good they will slip. Also, the loop on one of the stirrup straps (the little loop that holds down the excess strap) broke but is very easy to "glue" back together with a lighter. I don't know what draft horse the belly strap was made for, but it is definitely not ready-made a regular horse, so I am unable to immediately test the saddle as I'd hoped. The rest seems extremely nice. The small details in the saddle are wonderful, and seem very well made and secure. I will update once it is usable. Update: after reviewing the limited product photos, I noticed it looked like the straps on the saddle I received were missing the upper holes needed to tighten the girth cinch. I am currently in contact with the seller to rectify the issue, they replied promptly and I am looking forward to a quick resolution. Update 2: the company offered to repair the saddle if needed, if I tried to punch the holes myself first. I bought a hole punch, decided against it after a couple holes, and asked the company if they would punch them as offered. They only offered me a refund. Thankfully, Amazon stepped in and refunded the money so I could get it done. Love the saddle. Company's customer service was extremely disappointing. ... show more

The stirrups do not adjust to an even length. I'm 5'2" and even if they were adjusted evenly I couldn't reach them even with my tip toes. Seller contacted me to fix the problem. The actual pad itself is comfortable. and fit well, but the stirrups were an issue.
