I just purchased a new pair, thought I’d try a black pair this time. I’ve been very happy with this boot wearing it daily working in the plumbing trade all year long through all kinds of weather and terrain. Don’t normally get more than a year out of work boots, but these are very well made especially for the price. I only purchased a new pair because I need a pair to wear out around the house. I am in disbelief right now! I purchased these boots during the Black Friday sale. They arrived today. As I brought them in the house, I thought "Here we go again"; for this is at least my 5th boot purchase this year leaving me with disappointment one after the other. Well, as I unwrapped the packaging from the box I noticed how nice the box was. When I opened the box, I initially thought the boots were too small. I told my wife I should have purchased a larger pair. Once I slipped my feet in and stood up, I was surprising relieved and excited! It was a perfect fit. The boots weren't too snug on my wide feet. They weren't flopping with extra room in the front of the boot. In fact, the were down right comfortable. So comfortable, I did my little happy dance while parading around the house. My only regret is not buying more than one pair for the price. I am so pleased! I just had to write a review! Thank you!!!! ... show more

    • Which level if any is the water proofing? False advertising?

The boots after almost two weeks are amazing. They are very comfortable, from day 1, did not need to be broke in. I thought they would be uncomfortable due to the insoles not being very thick. But I was wrong. At work for 10 hours a day on my feet entire time, no complaints. My only complaint is if there is FALSE ADVERTISING. Title says waterproof, pictures say 'splash resistant' description further down says water resistant. 3 different versions of 'water rating' VERY IMPORTANT TO ME. WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IF THEY ARE NOT WATER PROOF. Like the title says. I would like the MANUFACTURER TO CLARIFY WITH ME. I have took screen shots and if I end up with wet feet at work I will be contacting Amazon and reporting. But other than the one issue, I really do enjoy them and like to wear them. Coming from a Timberland Pro boot that was around $170, I will continue to buy these boots if they hold up well like the Timberland boot after almost 2 years of 10-12 hours 4-6 days a week work! ... show more

5 stars because I realize that shoe and boot reviews are highly subjective. Just a quick review for anyone looking at these. They are well constructed, but they are definitely NOT for wide feet. There are a couple of other reviews saying that they work for wide feet, but they must not have feet like mine. I often buy Keen sandals and Orthofeet shoes for their large toe boxes, so my feet are wide. While these seem like good boots, they were like clamps on my feet. ... show more

Got these on sale so I gave them a chance for a low price. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and fit. Took a couple days to break in but they're wonderful now. I primarily use them for work as my employer requires steel toe and I cant be bothered to lace. I also wear them while practicing SCA fighting and fencing and they have performed surprisingly well in these instances as well. The fit allows for quick movement and agility. They don't weigh down or hurt my feet. They have held up well for the past couple months and I see no signs of deficiency.
