As soon as I saw the picture I wanted this bench for my wife. It has a vintage look and color and is getting better looking with age and weathering. It was pretty easy to assemble, though it the package was missing one nut and bolt; it is possible that they rolled out upon unboxing though I checked all over. I am surprised how sturdy it is. I guess if you just plop into it and jiggle around a lot it might loosen over time, but why would you do that? I read some reviews that had said the green was very dark, and that the bench had rusted quickly. We have had ours for two years now and it is still a beautiful medium green, is not rusting though it sits outside year round in North Carolina, and we've not had to tighten the bolts/nuts yet. Though it is a fairly small bench, it comfortably fits two of us. We really enjoy this bench and love the way it looks. It really adds a nice touch to our lawn scape. ... show more

    • Not suitable for use.
I like the way it looks beyond that not much. The only reason I'm keeping it is its being used as a decrotive piece in yard so no one will be sitting on it. I had a problem putting it together because missing washers and nuts. The seat is for two, well maybe children but certainly not adults. After placing in area I wanted it I had to get a metal file and spend 45 minutes filing the sharp edges and being cut on it. I would not recommend this unless like me you want a fairly inexpensive lawn ornament. ... show more

    • Well made, attractive little garden bench.
This product is primarily a decorative piece, not really intended for extended periods of sitting. I knew that going in, so was not concerned about a lack of comfort. But it is a sturdy, pretty little bench, and adds a nice visual touch to my garden. The faux patina finish is very realistic (the Chinese do seem to be very good at this sort of thing). I did not experience any of the packaging, assembly or missing parts problems noted by previous reviewers, so I am assuming the manufacturer has addressed these issues. The assembly directions could be a bit clearer, but didn't pose a major problem, and I had it put together in about 15 minutes. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

    • Bench a HUGE Disappointment
This product was a huge, HUGE disappointment. It came in a box that was barely held together on the outside and the packing on the inside was disintegrating into powder. The paperwork was incomplete and wadded up and thrown in the bottom. All of the screws, bolts and other parts were just tossed in the bottom and not all of them were there. We had to purchase the ones missing. Once we were able to finally figure out what part went where we realized some of the parts did not fit together well. The holes were off by a fraction of an inch. We went ahead and put it together. It is stable and looks okay, but no way worth what we paid. I would have returned it but it would have cost to return it, I would have had to take it back apart and the box was useless. I would have had to find another container. Just so unlike what I normally order from Amazon. And I order A LOT! ... show more

    • Build it yourself, then enjoy it
I love the completed bench, which of course, I had to assemble. However, when it first arrived, there was no hardware or instructions included. I called the company. Immediately, I received via email a copy of the assembly instructions, and within a week, I received the hardware packet, which also included some inexpensive, but useful, little tools. The bench was easy to put together (I'm 69, female, and did it alone). It's a good, sturdy bench, and good-looking too! I gave it 4 stars for the above mentioned problems, and also for the fact that I had to build it. ... show more

For what it's worth, I really, really, really want to love this bench. It's such a beautiful piece but there are so many more cons than pros in my opinion. First off, all the screws, nuts, and bolts were tossed in to 1 little baggy. Which would be fine if the instructions described each one so you knew what to use. Speaking of instructions (or lackthereof) see my attached photo. It took me nearly 40 minutes just to realize I was missing pieces because of the lame direction. The most important piece would be the pieces to hold the legs on, no? It seems they forgot to give me the larger nuts. So I can't do anything until the Mr. picks up a few tomorrow after work or graces me by digging through the tool bag (I choose the former). Another issue is that the screws that do fit awkwardly stick out of the bottom and back of the bench. I'm hopeful that once the legs are on, it'll hide some of them. Also, why give shiny bright screws on something that's supposed to be antiqued? I'll have to purchase some sort of matte nail polish to darken them up a bit. I'm really hoping to be able to bump this star rating up a few notches if I can piece it together tomorrow. Will revise accordingly. UPDATED: Bench is in full working condition now that we purchased appropriate screws and nuts. Seems sturdy enough for maybe one adult or 2 small children, but not enough for 2 adults, IMO. The color is a great black with green antique-y looks coming through, like it's been out in the elements for decades. I really do love it. It sits on my small front porch, which I plan on turning in to a reading nook. Smaller than one would think, but as it turns out, it's perfect for my needs! I've raised the star rating from a 1 to a 4 because: 1. I did not receive all necessary pieces to put the bench together, and 2. I feel they could have done a better job with the instructions (ie separate bags for each type of nut and bolts labeled A, B, C, etc..) ... show more

    • Great decorative bench
We are using this as a decorative bench on a front porch. It's perfect. Some things you will want to know: 1. This is definitely a one person bench. 2. It is basically black, at least ours is. There is a tiny bit of green where the black was rubbed intentionally, I believe, to give it a distressed look, but not enough to accomplish that look. 3. Very easy to put together. However, contrary to what the instructions say, you are not provided with everything you need to put the bench together, you will need something to tighten the bolts. 4. If you are looking for a decorative bench, not something that will be in regular use for sitting, this is perfect, especially for the price. ... show more
