The bike arrived in just one week, which is impressive shipping time for a mountain bike. It comes 85% assembled, and the remaining assembly took just 30 minutes with the help of my 13 year old son. It comes with alll the tools needed to complete assembly. What's most impressive is that the gear shifters and disc brakes worked perfectly right out of the box----did not need to make any adjustments! Like me, if you are searching for a first time mountain bike buyer then this on would definitely impress you. Build, gear system, disk breaks are well handled. There were minor flaws such as the bottle holder screws (one of it in my case) is stuck and rotating completely on itself thus not able to fix the provided bottle holder. It’s not a major issue for me. As the other reviewer mentioned, a good memory foam seat cover would help for long rides. Well the bike itself is pretty dang good. It’s got a good solid frame, good front shocks, good tires, nice rims (even though the detail you see is poorly put on stickers), the seat is ok, not super comfortable but that is expected with most sports bikes. The disc brakes are great. Now for the downsides: When I was putting the bike together the front fork had been installed backwards, which was funny because there is even a sticker on it that tells you which side is the front, it was an easy fix. What really bothers me about the bike though is the gear shifters, which is half the bike experience. The shifters are the cheapest you will ever find, and it they’ve got me scratching my head because I can’t seem to fix the tension on them. Shifting in one direction is all too easy, and shifting in the other is like pulling teeth. I tried loosening the cables, but if you do that it won’t go to the top gears. Also something that bugs me is the shifters don’t have numbers, nor is there any way that shifting makes sense. You go up 6 clicks with no response, not even shifting one gear. I’m trying to see if I can fix it by adjusting the derailleurs but still haven’t figured it out yet. Also I’m not sure the derailleur screws actually move the derailleur that much, I have to turn it a lot just to see a little change ... show more

We bought two of them. They were both easy to assemble, ten minutes per bike. They are sturdy enough to hold me, 300 lbs and 6 feet tall. The seats are standard uncomfortable bike seats, you might want to replace them for something more comfortable. The only thing with this bike is you get your money's worth, and not a bit more. You can tell the difference from a more expensive bike when you coast down hill. But, it does the job. I haven't broken it yet, and that's saying something. We did have an issue with one of the tires being a little bulgy, but it doesn't affect riding much. ... show more

This mountain bike was bought for my middle daughter this year for on/off road and trail riding. It looks very safe/dependable. Its no Cannondale or Mongoose but I look at and researched a lot of bikes this year for this price under $300.00 and concluded this was the best choice for durably and price. Only one thing this bike did not have was the short plastic fenders for mud/debris for off road biking, but that's only a minor thing that can be remedy and bought later. 100% well worth the money! ... show more
