This is actually an excellent budget fat tire mountain bike for the money. The last time I rode a mountain bike was in 1992 when I was an avid rider before my mountain bike got stolen and regular maintenance was a must and repairs when necessary. So for me the assembly was ridiculously easy, however I must stress that just like any bike shop that gets similar shipments that come in the same way I received this mountain bike in a box YOU MUST go thru and make sure that all nuts and bolts are tight otherwise like some of the negative reviews you will run into minor issues. After assembly I went through and made sure that all of the nuts and bolts are tight and torqued as needed, the brakes are the same way some adjustment at the handlebars or calipers may be necessary and the same applies to the chain derailleurs. Wheel rims are straight and true and if they weren’t it’s a simple matter of adjusting the spokes. I would also recommend that you lubricant the chain, cables and rear derailleur as well before use. If you are mechanically declined I would also recommend that you follow the assembly instructions and watch any videos that may help you with the assembly. As for those who find this mountain bike to heavy… well what did you expect it’s made out of carbon steel, not aluminum, magnesium or alloy steel. Seriously this bike only weighs a few pounds more than my old Trek 800 that got stolen all those years ago and being 6 feet tall this bike is sized properly for my height, I had absolutely no trouble riding or peddling this bike after I put it together and made all of the necessary adjustments. ... show more

Not worth all the money on this. I bought this and when it arrived I put it together as instructed. The handlebars don't turn the same way as the front tire even though I tightened them as good as it gets. Also the seat keeps swiveling and there is no way to make it any tighter. I'm 5'4". I have to put the seat all the way down to reach the pedals. The seat doesn't latch on as it gets more narrow when put on its lowest height. If I even raise it just enough where the seat stays firm then I cant reach the pedals. I contacted the seller for help, they wanted a video of the seat not working. How do I even show them the seat moves when riding it if my butt is on the seat? They won't help if I cant show proof. So I am stuck with this expensive bike. They need to make the pole on the seat bigger near the bottom instead of it getting narrower so the grip will latch and stay firm instead of swiveling like crazy. Same with the handle bars. What a loss for me. Just don't waste your time or money! ... show more

First off, affordable and inexpensive mountain bike that looks very well crafted. The assembly was easy however, the tool used to remove rims was not the best; that needs work. The bike rides smoothly and the gears function changes with ease but it is not as advertised to be the speed that the seller says. Please change that. This bike is super heavy so if you are looking for something with speed and agility, this is not the bike you want to get. Though the smooth ride, the bike seat is one of the most uncomfortable for long rides. Id suggest changing the seat. The breaks, both front and back doesn't seem hold as tight as i anticipated and makes a squeaking sound when breaking. I am yet to solve that issue even after playing around with the caliper several times. Altogether, this is a great budget bike and id recommend but be sure to get it checked after assembling if you aren't a professional . ... show more
