  • Handy tool for household troubleshooting
Style: Receptacle Tester
This is a great little addition to the toolbox that helps in troubleshooting electrical issues. It's a lot more informative than just plugging in a light bulb, and it lets you test GFCI circuits easily to verify performance.

  • Easy
Style: Receptacle Tester
Best outlet tester I've used so far from my experience. Tells you the fault and shows you the voltage.

  • Excellent, easy to use tool
Style: Receptacle Tester
I recently replaced all the outlets in my house and this tool was very helpful and very safe to use in multiple ways. It can be used to make sure the outlet you are working on is indeed not energized once you turn off its circuit breaker, and after you are done it shows if the wiring is correctly connected. I found it particularly helpful when connecting daisy chained GFCI outlets, as they have a "live" side and a "load" side that goes on to the next outlets in the chain. This device shows ground fault, reversed hot /neutral and other wiring mistakes. Once correctly wired, the GFCI breaker can be tested just by pressing the button on the tester. This is a must-have tool in my opinion if you do some electrical work. ... show more

Gives a quick take on outlet quality and directs attention to grounding, plug grab, or line problems. This greatly simplifies things for non-electricians like me.

Multi-use. Dependable. Accurate. Equipment saver. A must-have tool if you are dealing with electrical stuff or if you are in a band and don't want to short out your equipment.

  • Excellent
Style: Receptacle Tester
This outlet tester works very well. I like that it displays voltage and also that it holds the display information so you can remove it from the outlet to read it if the outlet is not in a convenient place to see the display.
