High quality material, fits well for the 3 - 5 yr old, fun graphics (unicorns) for a little girl. The problem was with the 5 - 14 yr old helmet: it was too small for our 6 yr old! I was going to return it after reviewing all of the instructions and other manufacturers' offerings. The age ranges seemed to present as industry standards, so I thought I might just be trading one insuffiency for another. I finally realized that the head strap inside the helmet was adjustable for age, yet nowhere was that now obvious fact written. I am a stickler for instructions that are direct and do not waste my time, so I rated the product down from a 5 to a 4, but the helmet itself appears to be good qulity.     • Protected my preschooler in a crash

We had this helmet m for my son when he first started using a balance bike, but thankfully never had to put it to the test. We liked the style and patterns though, so when it started to get a little too small, we ordered the next size up. Literally the first day my three-year-old wore the new one, he crashed his bike dramatically on the street. A bloody nose, busted lip, and cut chin, but his head, forehead, and eyes were completely protected. He hit so hard the front of the helmet chipped off, doing its job perfectly. He was shaken up but 100% OK. You obviously never want to find out if the helmet really "works," but now I know this one does. I will be replacing it, and buying a new one for my daughter when she's old enough to ride. Highly recommend! ... show more

We bought 2 of these for our twins, and still have them 3 years later. They have held up great, and have protect heads and faces many times :) They would rather wear these than their nicer newer helmets.
