The media could not be loaded. Just touch it and you'll know the quality. The mesh is durable, and the bed is thick and comfy, unlike those cheap carriers. I love that there are multiple pockets around the carrier to store cat stuff like treats, pheromone spray, etc. I've been waiting for so long for a great carrier like this.

There are two aspects of this review: The first are all of the reasons that you should consider this carrier when deciding what to purchase; and the second is why this carrier did not work for me. To the first point, I think this is a really good cat carrier. It's designed for travelling with your cat (something that we don't do) but can also be used when necessity dictates transporting your cat for whatever reasons. The design has lots of features to help make the trip easier for both feline and for the feline's traveling companion: Pockets for the necessities; mesh so the cat can connect with the things going on around outside; carrying straps; a leash; comfy bed that is fitted to the inside, zippers with safety buckles; etc. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into this. It even has a computer pocket. There is one feature that I am not sure about and that is the so-called Peek-Point™. On one hand, it gives your cat an opportunity to peer out unobstructed by mesh. On the other hand, it seems to me like something that, if not adjusted right, is an excellent opportunity for escape. I'm not sure that I would trust it and I would keep it tightly closed. But that's me and my experience with my cats. You do you. The materials are top notch and the construction quality is excellent. It is pricier than other cat carriers I've seen, but I think that you do get a lot for the money. (In the end though, you'll have to decide for yourself whether or not the prise premium is worth it to you. So now, for all of the good things about this carrier, here is why it did not work for me. Although it calls itself a "Large Cat Carrier", I have to assume that the Large refers to the size of the carrier and not the size of the cat. The cat that I had hoped to use this carrier for is definitely large. And I don't that he is a chonker. He is mostly muscle. Given his size, he doesn't actually weigh that much. What he is, though, is very long. And he has long legs. And he definitely does not like travelling. He doesn't like ANY changes to his environment. He is suspicious of anything new. And all of that means that getting him into a carrier not an easy task. Trying to get him into a carrier that is cramped is a non-starter. This carrier is simple not big enough -- in either floor-plan or in height for him to get comfortable. I had hoped to get a photo of the carrier with our big cat nearby for comparison, but he's simply not cooperating. So to sum up, a great carrier if you have kittens or normal sized cats. Not the carrier you want if your cat is a large one (at least in terms of overall-length or leg-length.)

I’ve been looking for something like this for years as seemed like products didn’t this market segment well (cat air travel). Have had Sherpas, a backpack but think this will be the best. Only one trip so far but the porthole/periscope feature was used a couple of times on the airplane without fear of escape. The extra pockets for carry-on items (e.g., laptop/tablet) much appreciated. The reversible inner pad also innovative and luckily my gamble on comfort paid off (no accidents) for the first trip (there have been over 10 thus far). Getting thru TSA Pre routine (though never easy but at least the carrier becomes the friend/home versus enemy), flight American Airlines coach and fit under the seat in front of me well (window seat). Also paired well with a four-wheel carry-on for smooth travel through terminal. Haven’t tried the auto travel yet but appreciate the seat belt fastener/strap(s). Not sure if it has a shoulder strap but two handles appropriate length for carry. Cat eleven pounds and plenty of room. Only challenge (also explained in the instructions) were the two rods to insert in the channels…patience, good lighting and everything fine/sturdy. Wish this were available sooner.

My kitty hates leaving the apartment and especially to go to the vet. Though she didn't stick her head out of the hole in the top, it was a game-changer that I could basically stick most of my arm in to pet and hold her while we were traveling. Though she still cried a little, it was significantly less that usual. I have another soft cover carrier and I must say that this carrier is the platinum version of carriers. It is sturdy, excellent quality and the details of the construction were well thought out. I highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Sadly, I won't get to use this for it's original intent for a good while I honestly do not know when, cause $. But I wanted to be prepared! This bag is thoughtfully designed and very well made, especially with solid materials. Impressive. I'd have to get smaller laptop though! Got 2 cats and figured if I ever did get to fly and use them, I'd have one of each color. This grey one came first. First night I had it out and opened. My girl jumped in on her own and ended up sleeping the night there. Unfortunately, she's continued to do that every night now since! Gonna have to put it up, as I miss her coming upstairs with me! I zipped her up the first night. She didn't automatically peek out, but just co tinued to groom. I later got her to come out as I had a clean stick! The boy ... well he's different, so he hasn't given it a 2nd thought. He's a tad ltaller and longer, so I'm sure he won't be as thrilled, when the time comes. Again, Mia's Dad did such an excellent job of crafting a solid piece.

The bed is plush and super cozy with a thick memory foam like insert; my cat loves it. It’s also removable for easy cleaning. It folds down for easy storage. Very happy with this purchase!
