  • Looks Fantastic BUT
Style: Cascading Rock
Not loud enough. I tried both controls on the pump and neither does enough to satisfy my craving to hear water FALL. Yes, it's not very big, but it is big enough for more sound of the water. Which means I need a bigger pump. What size is this one that came with it? It doesn't say in the description. I need a size larger..or more powerful but not by much since it's a small fountain. I've read the reviews where it says you have to hide the back. No, you don't. It comes with a separate rock-ish square that inserts and has a cut out for the cord, so you can position it any way you like. I placed mine on top of a very large empty pot, turned upside down to raise it higher. Will get some ivy to drape in front of the bare area on the pot showing in the pic. Overall..I love it. I just want more water sound. So if the manufacturer can tell me what size this one is...I can purchase another one from lowes or something. The hole is big enough in the back to fit a larger pump. Sure wish someone would get back to me on the question I asked concerning what size that pump is. ... show more

  • Looks and performs well. But needs a screen to filter the return water
Style: Cascading Stone with LED
There is a small hole in the lower pool, water returns to the sump through it. So does any and all debris, including flying beetles. They really should have thought of this, for an outdoor garden fountain. The fix is to make a filter yourself, out of screening. I just cut out a 4" square, and stuff it in the hole with my finger. It's not deluxe, but it works and doesn't detract from the looks or performance of the fountain. It causes the detritus to be contained in the pools which can be scooped out as needed. Without this fix, the sump will fill with nasty, nasty dead bugs and will clog the pump. Minus one star for this critical oversight. It would be simple to engineer a filter basket that would be easily removable for cleaning. There were reviews here saying they received a waterfall that was entirely black. Mine has widely varied colors and features, it looks quite natural and pleasing to the eyes. I do wish the LEDs were dimmable, it can be a bit bright. Finally, the power supply on mine died at six weeks. Two weeks past the return period. As per usual, buying items 'sold by, and shipped from Amazon' is the key. They happily arranged a replacement for the fountain regardless. I spend a lot of money with Amazon. They show that they respect and value that patronage and loyalty. I'm happy. ... show more

  • Relaxing noise, birds LOVE it
Style: Cascading Rock
I wasn't too sure how big this was going to be, or how it would look, but I was really surprised it is a nice size, it is sturdy, easy to set up just fix the pump to the bottom attach the hose, add water and plug in. I live in Maine so we are not into hot weather yet and we are still getting a fair amount of rain so I have no problems needing to fill it up. I sit around 20ft away and can hear it trickling. I have not had any issues at all with it splashing, I made sure it was on level ground, which might be why. The birds and squirrels all love it and I much prefer having running water than a standard bird bath with just stagnant water in it. I have been pondering getting another for the other side of the garden, but I really don't need to - maybe if I win the lottery and have spare cash - but I am very happy I bought it. I will be bringing it inside during the winter as we get below 20/30 degrees and as much as it might be ok being left out - I will just bring it inside so I can clean it and keep it until the snow and ice has gone and spring arrives. ... show more

  • I’m SO glad I bought this!
Style: Cascading Rock
I bought the shorter stream/pool version of this fountain to use indoors and it is every bit as gorgeous as the videos show it to be. It makes a lovely trickling sound, which can be turned up/down and adjusted with (dishwasher sterilized) rocks. It does make a low hum, but the sound is much less annoying than smaller, cheaper fountains... it actually reminds me of the hum of heavy rain falling on the roof, if that makes sense. I keep it clean with a splash of h2o2 every few days. My toddler likes to play in it (not ideal, but I allow it) and the fountain has plenty of weight and water to withstand the (ab)use. Only con so far: There is a small hole in the top of the tank/body that caused leaking when it was filled up high. Also, the unit was very dusty from the manufacturing process abs needed to be thoroughly washed, which is difficult. Quality control is probably lacking, and I get the impression that the hole is a flaw in the molding/casting process, so there are likely to be random holes for other buyers, possibly in a worse/ harder to tolerate place. Given the price, I’m not too worried, frankly. I think some gorilla glue will plug it right up, but I will (always) update if new problems arise. ... show more

  • There were a few surprises, but I'll keep it now.
Style: Cascading Stone with LED
1. This fountain came in a chocolate brown with yellowish paint brushed onto the highlighted areas (as seen in my photo). It looks good and pretty realistic, but nothing like the colorful photo shown from the manufacturer. But that's ok. 2. The instructions are practically worthless and unusable. Obviously loosely translated to English with no proof reading done. The drawing looks like chicken scratch with dotted lines going everywhere. But I figured it out anyway. 3. It was supposed to come with 2 rubber stoppers to seal off the LED light wires which run underwater. Mine only came with one rubber stopper. So I bought some general purpose rubber stoppers from Amazon and used one to substitute for the missing one. I had to drill a hole for the wires to run down the center of the stopper. Ok now. 4. Both of the stoppers leaked around the holes in the fountain basins. I had to use silicone to seal them off. Ok now. 5. The hole for the pump wires and the pump's plastic hose leaked also because it sits right next to water line that keeps the pump fully submerged. They should have raised this hole about 1 inch higher above the water line. The solution was to once again, use more silicone to seal off the wires/plastic hose hole. Ok now. 6. After fixing all the issues, I now love my fountain. It sounds good, has low splashing and looks pretty realistic. ... show more
