It was so great to find this tool. Yes the voice does need a little more clearity, but it is understandable. I am a do-it-yourself person, and with a tool like this a blind person can work with ac or dc items. It is so nice that I can check a battery for myself, check a circut for connection and voltage, check a friends car to see if the alternator is charging proper and more. Oh and from the blind perspective get a good pair of leather gloves for safety, they do provid some insulation from ac curent.

I needed a volt meter to voice broadcast because I am blind. I know what you are thinking, but I only need it to verify voltage I am not wireing a house. It works fine for this. I would not recommend this for every day use as it is not built strong enough for that. Just saying it is not for the proffessional. I would use it on occasions when you needed a voice readout. It takes a min. for the voltage to become steady before it reads out, but this is common for digital volt meters. The voice does have an accent but I can still understand it ok.

After a disappointing try with another inexpensive DMM, I tried this one and was astounded at its quality and utility. This is a great little meter with lots of unexpected functions and features. The proximity detection of AC voltages, voice readout, and auto ranging are real time savers. I would recommend this to anyone who needs an inexpensive general purpose meter.

While this a very nice multimeter, the greatest problem is that the display shows 240V but the speech reads out 139V. This seems to happen with the higher values. For the testing of batteries, it is fairly accurate. I must say I am disappointed that this was not quality controlled before leaving the factory.

One of the biggest problems I have with multimeters is reading them in odd places and under poor lighting conditions, this little meter solves these issues for me. It is quite small making it convenient for use in cramped places. Also it has the feature of audibly telling you the reading out loud. Its accuracy is fine for troubleshooting common electronic circuits and consumer goods, in other words, any job you would consider buying a $20.00 multimeter for. Most engineers would probably like this little meter for many jobs. Its accuracy is within about 10% of the reported value for all of the features this little meter can read. It comes with enough leads and tips to satisfy most needs and it also comes with a neat little pouch to carry them all in. You really can't go wrong for the price. You get a little more than what you pay for if you buy this tool.
