I was going to put this outside. It looked so nice, I put it in the living room. Great sound with very little spilling of water. You can gauge the sump pump to how much water you want flowing. I bought this fountain last summer, for a much cheaper price I might add, and within 3 weeks the fountain was leaking a lot of water all over my patio. I returned it. Other than that, it was beautiful while it lasted.
