A bit pricey but works well. Easy to empty and really easy to read, even for small 1 or 2 mm rain falls. Seems to agree with my electronic rain gauge next to it, which is why I bought this, to see if the electronic gauge is accurate. Since they both agree, I'll assume they're both right rather than both being equally wrong. Time will tell if it holds up to the heat and UV of the Texas sun.

This rain Guage is constructed with thick plastic. We are hoping that just in case it doesn't get emptied before a freeze, that it won't fracture. It holds quite a bit of water which has been handy with these atmospheric rivers that have been passing through. One drawback is that it's very difficult to read. I dried it thoroughly and applied black sharpie to the numbers which has improved a little. That'd be my only complaint why it's not five star. But we will live. If I do happen to forget to empty it before a deep freeze, I would still go back to buy this one.

Easy to read from a distance

This rain gauge was easy to install on a fence post in my yard. It is easy to slide off and dump. I just wish that the measurement lines on the gauge were a different color and not clear. Makes it hard for me to read and impossible to read from a distance. I gave the accuracy a 4 because I have nothing to compare it to.
