  • Great learning toy for my three year old
My son likes frog, and he was really excited when are assembling it. There’s instructions and a step by step on how to assemble the frog. Details about the parts and a life cycle card, skeleton, frog anatomy. This is very informative and a great homeschooling tool.

  • Great for my multi-grade homeschool!
I have 3 homeschool children, ages 10, 5, and 2.5. Everyone enjoyed this frog in different, age appropriate ways! I had just talked about the metamorphosis and the life cycle of frogs etc. And this seemed like the perfect project to end the unit. My 5 year old loves puzzles and building, so he assembled the frog. My 10 year old read off the very nice, full color, durable information cards that go with the body parts, and my 2.5 year old enjoyed playing with the finished frog and exploring the "organs". They've already taken it apart and reassembled a few times. I also really like the peek through from the top when it's assembled to see where everything lies in a actual living frog. I think my only complaint is how easy the legs and feet can fall off. Beyond that I think the visual aid and hands on experience make for a wonderful learning aid and worth the cost. Plan to use this again as my younger children get older. Plus he's pretty cute for a frog with his guts showing! ... show more

  • BACK PIECE CAN BE DIFFICULT TO GET ALIGNED
No glue is needed to assemble this frog ~ everything snaps into place, and fairly easily, until the last piece – the back. The back was a little bit tricky to get aligned so that it would snap together. When completed, the frog is a nice-looking model to be displayed. The product states that it’s for ages 6+, but for a child to successfully assemble the model independently and without assistance the child would probably need to be age 9+. The instruction cards were quite stuck together and needed to be pried apart. It’s easy to not realize this and instead think that some of the cards are missing. There is no #12 card to provide instructions for inserting the eyeballs and attaching the back ~ older kids and adults will figure it out successfully, but a younger child may need some assistance. ... show more

  • Absolutely LOVED
My goddaughter LOVES this frog. She has a pet frog in her aquarium and seeing what is inside is very interesting for her. She is 8. It’s fun to put together and educational! Stop dissecting frogs!

  • Really cool learning tool
We are a year or two off from "frog" dissection, and I am sure they probably use 3d computer models or something now in school, but I came across this and thought my son would like to play around with it now. It is really neat! I will say, it is sort of a plastic model- not a heavy duty rubber that I have seen with other models. It seems to be a bit thinner and maybe not as sturdy long term. The parts fit in pretty well- maybe because they are plastic and don't give- you have to have them at the right angle perfectly to fit it all back in. The parts are labeled and there is a card for each part. It is a nice learning tool for kids who want to practice at home for a potential dissection at school or outside of a model they may have at school and not at home. Or for a homeschool family- would be very educational and fun. For the price and the overall kit- Highly recommend! ... show more

  • A Wonderful Educational Model. Easy to Assemble and Fun
I built this model with my grandson who is 9 and left him do all the building. This is a really nice kit, that really does reveal elementary frog biology. The fit of the parts is really nicely done, and it comes completely painted and decorated. It snaps together without glue and holds together well. The "entrails" all fit into place really well. What I really loved about this model were the instructions. At first I thought they were omitted, but then I realized the assembly instructions were printed on the back of "flash cards." On the other side of the cards were interesting facts on the internal organs of the frog as well as a chart on the slide cycle of the frog. This s a very educational toy, and it is made to be assembled, dismantled and reassembled, making it a good classroom accessory and teaching tool. ... show more

  • Missing part
Arrived without the esophagus, and our son was extremely upset it was missing a piece. We didn't pay for this not to receive ALL of the pieces.
