Model: 2 Stroke 18 HP Short Shaft

Features

  • 2-Stroke 18hp High Performance: 2-stroke engine with a maximum output of 13.2kw, 18 hp and a maximum speed of 5500 rpm. 8'' three-bladed propeller with a streamlined design reduces water resistance and provides more power during operation.
  • Cdi Ignition and Water Cooling System: The standard CDI ignition system provides quick start-up of the outboard motor and the water cooling system is designed to maintain optimum temperatures, plus overheat protection. Suspension tilt adjustment pins and anti-vortex plates reduce tilt and vortex for smooth operation. So you can keep enjoying the ride.
  • Fuel Efficient: The outboard motor's external fuel tank holds 6.34 gallons of fuel to support your long-term operation. The high-efficiency carburetor burns fuel more efficiently, consuming only 1.18 gallons per hour, saving you fuel and making your sailing experience more enjoyable.
  • Easy to Operate: The throttle lever directly controls acceleration and steering. The step-less speed regulation allow you to easily adjust the running speed, combined with simple gear shifting (forward, neutral, or reverse), bringing you a more comfortable and convenient user experience.
  • Scope of Application: The outboard is suitable for rubber boats, inflatable boats, fishing boats, sailboats, yachts, canoes, kayaks, rubber boats, aluminium alloy boats, etc. with a stern height of 17.32 inches or less, to assist in aquaculture, water transportation, netting, luring, outboard backup, outing, and river cleaning/maintenance.
  • Kind Friend: If you need me to provide CE certificate and certificate of origin documents for outboard engine, I will be very happy to provide them for you. Sincerely thank you for your support! Wish you have a pleasant sailing experience.

  • BUY THIS
Model: 2 Stroke 18 HP Short Shaft
I had first bought the 6.5hp Hangkai which was awesome, but I needed more speed for my 10ft6in Newport inflateable and to keep up with my friends who all had 12hp Mercs. After the 10hour break in, this thing is an absolute BEAST! My wife and I were the fastest dink on the lake, felt like we were barely touching the water. Fly past the 12hp Mercs like nothing now, and at 1/2 the Merc price tag. Don't hesitate just buy this motor. ... show more

  • Very happy
Model: 2 Stroke 18 HP Short Shaft
I bought this as a quick inexpensive solution while my other motor was in the shop waiting for parts. I was not expecting much at this price but I was pleasantly surprised with how this thing performs. Great little motor! It does exactly what it is expected to do. Starts relatively easy and is surprisingly quiet. ... show more

  • Crazy Fast, but arrived with defective fuel filter!
Model: 2 Stroke 18 HP Short Shaft
I just finished with the break in period with my 18hp 2 stroke. On my 14ft V-hull this motor is CRAZY FAST! Top speed of 25mph to 26mph! Now for the bad. First start sitting in a barrel of water it started with two pulls. After that it started with just one pull while it was somewhat warm. Took it to the lake and the fuel bulb on the gas line wouldn't pump up firm. But, I could feel gas going through, so I tried to start it. It would fire and run with the choke out, but would die when I pushed the choke in. After many attempts I gave up. Later I checked it on my water barrel again, but with the cowling off. The reason the primer bulb wouldn't get hard was because there was a split in the side of the fuel filter bowl. This motor uses the same fuel filter that lots of Yamaha motors use, so I found a similar looking off brand on Amazon for around $10. OEM Yamaha filter costs $81 dollars! I also checked the gap of the sparkplugs and found them too small. I adjusted them to what the manual called for. WARNING! They give you 2 extra spark plugs along with gaskets and a water impeller. Check your extra plugs, because mine weren't the correct ones for that motor. They were quite a bit longer and could've damaged the engine! Anyway, with the new fuel filter on and the plugs re-gapped it runs just fine now. Oh, one more thing. This is the first motor I've owned that exhausts through the propeller hub. After I got back home I noticed a small amount of oil slowly dripping from the hub. I don't know if this is because of the extra oil used during the break in period, but I'm going to keep an eye on it. ... show more

  • 18hp Hangkia outboard motor
Model: 2 Stroke 18 HP Short Shaft
If you are going to order the 18hp hangkia outboard motor, order it from COFECO. THE MOTOR arrived 5 days early, it was very well packaged and delivered by Fedx and delivered just like I had requested. When the motor was unpacked, I examined the outboard, pack, latch, fitting, prop, everything was perfect. Put it on my boat, took it to the lake, mixed 24-1 ratio for first ten hours. Pumped up the bulb, pulled the choke, pulled the started rope and the 18hp came to life and did not die, but has ran perfect. I have run it for three hours with 93 octane premium gas and 2 cycle synthetic motor smokeless oil. Runs like a good outboard motor should run. I have had, Mercury, Suzuki, Evinrude, Marnina, Nissan, Johnson, and for an outboard for under one thousand dollars you can not go wrong. I have had the expensive outboard motors ( which I loved and they were fine motors) but for a motor that will do the same job, this Hangkia outboard is the way. It weighs 94 pounds and I put it on a 12 foot 46 inch John boat and it doesn't only run swell but it flies across the water. After breakin I'm sure if I do it right (and I will) that this motor will last me a long time. It has a perfect paint job, decals are very neatly placed, aluminum prop, full of gear oil. I am very proud of packaging, shipping, delivery, and everything was in the box. So yes very rarely I do, but this is a 5 star. Note: if you order a outboard motor, order it from COFECO. They do what they print. ... show more

Model: 169CC Short Shaft Outboard Motor
So I've taken out the new hangkai 12hp outboard motor this weekend and started breaking in the motor for maximum use when 10 hours is added up for use at low speeds and rpm. I can honestly say I'm happy to have purchased the motor and very impressed with the quality and response of it 6 gallon tank 50.1 ratio oil and gas mix. I do see myself buying another one in the future for a trolling motor on the bigger boat which means probably an 18hp or lil bigger. That's all for now will post pics or vids next weekend ... show more
