Why did you pick this product vs others?: This flush mount light has a larger base to connect to the ceiling - so when I removed the previous lights - I did not have to repaint the ceiling. These are beyond gorgeous - excellent quality, and I am planning to order 3 more to replace my upstairs builder grade unattractive lights.     • A Royal PIA to install unless you use a trick.

Royal PIA to install. Has little holes that you have to line up through its built in insulation. Picture you are on a ladder, holding the light up, trying to line up these little holes to the screws. I had bought two. On the first one, I gave up and just got one in. the light is a little crooked, but it took me literally an hour to get past that step. On the 2nd one I got smarter and drilled out the little hole they have in the light, and used a washer to make it work. thats my best advice for all of you. drill it, make a reasonable size hole, use a big washer ... show more

Took my husband 2 hours to install because the bracket was too short. He had to figure out a way to make it work. It looks nice, but he says it's not quite stable.
