i used it to cut cinder block and wood - and i was very happy i bought dewalt diamond wheel for it at like 13.00? and worked well cleaned morter from brick and cut through 4" cinder block- not all way through but cut all way around then hit with hammer- i had a 1" rotten board near stone wall and bought to cut it- figure lower speed be safer- and did a good job with that using saw blade come with it- though ordered xtra- and ordered back up batteries- and yes will use dewalt batteries as well- the long ones- cause one write up said short battery life though i had no issues with that and only use the one- but back ups always good to have- very happy with it

Pros: The unit is very affordable, works just fine and includes a good assortment of cutting, grinding and buffing wheels. Negatives: In order to remove the lock nut I had to heat it with a blow torch, put the nut in a vise and use my full body weight to twist the unit off the nut. No excuse for that. The operating manual provides not a word about operating. The Chinese are good at low cost manufacturing but they need to work on the little things like quality control and useful manuals.
