I don't normally leave reviews but I felt the need to after being SO SURPRISED by this rug. I really didn't have high hopes after paying such a low price on this rug. I've bought many shag rugs in the past and typically you get what you pay for. Well I have to say that this rug exceeded my expectations by a long shot, and it is actually even nicer than a Safavieh that I paid twice the amount for. It's so soft & feels almost silky. For reference, I ordered the 6'7x9'3 in gray for my son's room. There is no noticeable smell to the rug (sometimes they come with a weird odor) and there is no shedding at ALL! I'm very pleased and will definitely be purchasing more from this company. My son is happy as can be with his new "comfy" floor :) ... show more

We LOVE this rug. It was perfect for the Palm Springs mid-century modern look we were going for. Just as pictured, bright but not like “traffic cone” bright. It cleans well, which I was worried about. Nice feel and an amazing price.

I love this rug. I liked it when I read about it, but after getting it rolled out and on the floor, I love it. It is so much more comfortable than a hard, tile floor. I admit, I got down on the floor and rolled around on it just running my hands along the shag when I first put it down. My little boy loves it, too, and now I don't worry about him catching a chill while playing in the floor. There IS a faint smell of plastic, but it wasn't very bad and I didn't even notice it a few hours later. The color is vibrant without being too much. The shag pile is thick, cushioning, and I am VERY happy with this rug. Edited to add that, for Christmas, my son got dozens of tiny plastic Pokemon toys that he likes to hide in the pile of the carpet. It's thick enough that it doesn't hurt when I step on them in the dark. ... show more

This rug is plush, the perfect color and exactly what I was looking for. I have two kids so I'm not in the market for an expensive area rug at the moment, but wanted something soft colorful to add a pop in our livingroom and still hide kid stains. This carpet does it all specially the price!

just realized !! I ordered a second ottomanson rug and a rug actually labled ottomanson arrived and the quality was superior. The rug above which was supposed to be a Ottomanson arrived with a tag labled Sweet home and it is much thinner. UnacceptablE! I'm filing a complaint on this company

    • Not as soft as some say. Let's be realistic.
I was freaked out by some reviewers saying they didn't get what they ordered but I want to nip this in the butt: I ordered a dark gray shag rug and I got a dark gray shag rug. I'm overall pretty satisfied and this was a hard thing to rate. I got what I paid for, but it did not quite meet my expectations. The fabric is obviously cheap, I'm not sure how this will hold up in the long run but I'll be sure to post any updates as they happen. Softness: there are some people saying this thing is really soft, it isn't. Have you ever touched those shag rugs that feel like silk? Super smooth like a golden retriever or something? It isn't anywhere close. It's hard to describe but there definitely is a good amount of roughness to it, but not uncomfortable to walk on without socks or anything. It is softer than a standard carpeted floor, but not by much. Look: It looks good, though. I can't wait to furnish the room it's in but it does what I wanted it to do, and that's add some contrast. The shagginess of the rug looks like it is smooshed a bit from being rolled up, but I'm optimistic it'll bounce up after some resting time. I am satisfied with the purchase for the price of this rug. If I could do it again, I might try paying another $20-30 more and get it from another seller. Already thinking about a few months down the road and a rug I might like to replace this with. If all my gripes are non-issues to you, go for it. I'm picky but it is a cheap, affordable rug and you really do get what you pay for. Not a bad thing, just something to note. ... show more

    • Not exact color, lighter than expected.
When the rug arrived, I could only see the color on the ends of the rug. I thought the color would be all wrong. I let it sit in my living room, unopened for several days. I thought I would just send it back. Then I opened and unrolled it. It is beautiful. The color is slightly lighter than the picture, but I love it and it is so soft. It was also a lot easier to vacuum than I thought it would be and didn’t shed at all. Good buy. ... show more

Great quality rug for the price. It’s thick, soft, and looks fantastic in my living room. It’s pretty misshapen when first unrolled due to being tightly rolled up, but I put a few heavy things on the edges for a couple hours and it’s laying well now. I’m sure it will continue to flatten as it sits. Very happy with this rug! ... show more
