    • Okay furniture but overpriced

I received the loveseat with built-in storage yesterday with it well-protected and in two separate boxes. It took a couple of hours to put it together. This would be around 30 minutes or less if the instructions were clear, the loveseat had all the required pre-drilled holes done for the legs and the holes were properly aligned for the armrests. In the process of putting the loveseat together, I began removing protective shields along the corners. I realized after removing two of them, that it might be better to keep the covers due to the delicate fabric only having a few staples around areas where it is most likely to get bumped/snagged and damaged. I wound up putting those back on and then sealing them with fabric glue to soften the plastic edges and protect the corners. One thing the instructions don't mention is that the 2 1/2 screws for the legs are supposed to align with the vertical wood frame and not recessed. I inadvertently did that and now the storage area has eight predominant screws within the interior storage area just waiting to snag a beloved blanket. The bolts for the arms and storage assembly holes are slightly off. The pressed wood was soft and easily shredded from the bolt threading area while I wrestled with the bolt and hole alignment. This proved to be the biggest challenge and really should be done as a team. I found it was hard to balance the armrest, align the bolt with the holes, put them through, simultaneously hold the pieces together and then put the nut on. After getting the armrests on, I found myself going back through and tightening the bolts a couple more times due to some movement and what felt like some form of missing support to the frame. Overall the loveseat looks great and you'd never tell from it that there's some flaws in the design. This product appears very similar to one sold by Raymour & Flanigan but is much more reasonably priced (R&F gets crazy margins on their products). It was delivered ahead of schedule and fully intact - no missing components and it functioned exactly as it should. There weren't much in the way of instructions provided, so it took a little trial and error to figure out how to convert it from love seat to lay-flat mode. We got the Legacy Air Ottoman. It’s okay. It’s a little on the cheap side, given the price, but that was expected. The color is pretty much spot-on with what’s represented in the pictures. It was also expected to have to mount the legs, but there were no pilot holes, so I had to drill them myself. Not a huge deal. But then I noticed that it’s missing the springs from the hinge mechanisms. It’s very apparent where they attach (see picture), and they are readily visible in one of the pictures of the product listing on Amazon. But they are nowhere to be found. They would assist with opening the seat to access the storage compartment, but it’s not bad without them. It’d be more hassle than it’s worth to return this for a replacement, so we’re just going to live with it. ... show more

    • Run out of cushion padding?

As I sit here, in my favorite spot with a recent replacement of a living room chair, I find that i am AGAIN repositioning my derriere because of the spring i feel AGAIN. I have plenty of personal padding on my back side but my new chair does NOT. There is not a position i can sit in my new chair without feeling the metal work under one cheek or the other. Two months of wiggling while sitting. Pretty disappointed. My Click Clack Sofa from the same folks does not share this irritating characteristic. Is this common for a $600 chair? I have bought plenty of chairs in my lifetime. None have ever had this issue. Hey folks, got any ideas for a two month old chair with an obvious spring/padding fail? ... show more

Tell me why are there not pre-drilled holes for the sofa feet? There is not even mention of needing a drill in the instructions, which by the way, were for another model, the Armada X. When I try to drill on the underside of the sofa, the drill bit just gets twisted up the fabric, it doesn't even go throught the fabric well. This evidently requires professional assembly expertise which goes against the product's claim to be assembled in 30 mins. More like 2 hours or more for us, without even doing the feet! We spent 2 hours and just had to set the couch directly on the floor. I hope it'll be ok. ... show more
