The clear plastic box insert is the installer, didn't work so I had to install this screen protector manually. Also the screen protector doesn't go all the way across the screen. Even with OtterBox case I feel the edge of the screen protector every time I swipe back. It's ok not great and I would look for a better fit screen protector. There's so much junk out there, it makes this an ok screen protector even though it don't actually fit my Pixel 8 Pro screen. I recommend just purchasing a screen protector from your provider and let them install it. I don't know how hard this screen protector is to remove either. Might pull the entire screen off with it. I was so excited that this had such a cool installation setup, but how is it possible to install this and NOT get little bits stuck between the phone and protector? Little fuzz bits stuck to the protector as soon as I removed the protective backing and there's no way to get them off without damaging it. I'm going to have to replace this screen protector because it just doesn't look good at all. Also, the fingerprint reader seems to not want to function nearly as well now. ... show more

How this application design made it out of testing is completely beyond me. The application method sounds easy enough, until you realize that when you pull the protective film from the screen, it generates static electricity, so much so that it will attract every dust particle and cat hair from every where in a 5 mile radius, even if you don't own a cat. Unfortunately, you don't find this out until the protector is on the screen. Speaking of the protector itself, it's much smaller than it should be and doesn't cover enough of the screen. You're better off buying one of those 3 for $8 packs on here than to waste a cent on this. ... show more

I have to say that the system OtterBox have made for putting on the screen protector works well, if you follow the instructions to the letter and take your time at the appropriate steps. I did feel like the phone was going to jump out of the holder before I was able to put the protector on, but it did not happen to be fair. I did have some bubbles but whit the aid of the provided microfiber cloth, I got them pushed out for a smooth and perfect finish. I had a problem in one corner where it seemed like it did not want to adhere, but I suspect that it was some left over alcohol from the cleaning wipe, because as soon as I had a piece of tissue paper on the edge while I squished the corner with the provided rag. It took a few minutes, but as I stated earlier, it looks perfect now. I do like the applicator and jig, because it made it so easy to position the protector perfect. The screen protector has a smooth and slick surface that feel natural like there is no protector on there. It is compatible with the Defender series cases from OtterBox. I I had to say something negative, it would be that you can see a rainbow effect on the corner edge of the screen protector as the light from you screen refracts through the screen protector. The product itself is great, however the installation tray that they say fits the phone is so wide the phone flops around in it. Had to do it the old fashioned way, line it up, stick it on . They couldn't have used the dimensions of the Pixel 8pro!

    • Finger can "stick" when swiping, bottom of screen unresponsive at times

Easy install and fingerprint resistant. But not "swipe smear" resistant and while mostly responsive, it's think enough that your finger doesn't glide as easily which really affects swiping, especially typing, but worse is the bottom corners of the screen where you have to push extra hard sometimes to get your finger to register. I had to remove it after a couple of days. Would have been nice for some kind of anti reflection too. I wouldn't waste my time if I were you unless you want to be more frustrated. ... show more
