  • Beautiful set, love bowls, no mugs Beautiful set, love bowls, no mugs
Color: Gray
Our family loved this dish set and ended up ordering more! LOOK GREAT They were protected with great packaging as the outer box was damaged but no issues with the product at all! They look really nice. The dishes present well when entertaining too. My LO does not like change and was upset to get rid of our old colorful dishes for gray, but now she even likes them! UNCOATED BOTTOM I wasn't sure I'd like the bottom, but I got over it quickly and now actually like the look. The feel still scares me when I stack, load the dishwasher, etc. They do sweat out of the bottom with hot foods. DURABILITY I have washed them in both top and bottom racks of the dishwasher with no issue. My husband and LO are rough on dishes and so far, they are holding up well! LOVE BOWLS We absolutely love the larger bowls for salads and pasta. We use the salad plates for snacks or like a light lunch. NO MUGS I do miss matching mugs, but the different bowls and plates are way more functional for our household. We rarely serve coffee or tea while entertaining and we use our "fun" mugs when it is just us. Just depends on your entertaining needs for what fits you best. We ended up ordering a few mugs separately just to have them for breakfast for a small group or a few coffees after dinner. We are happy with this set. They seem like a fair value for a list price of just under $140 and would recommend. ... show more

  • Elevated Everyday Dining Elevated Everyday Dining
Color: Gray
I am genuinely impressed with the OTAGO 24 piece dinnerware set. This set completely elevated the look of my kitchen and dining table while still being practical enough for everyday use. Right out of the box, you can tell these pieces were thoughtfully designed. The handcrafted look with the partially unglazed base gives each piece a unique, slightly rustic character that feels high end without being overly fancy. The gray color is absolutely gorgeous. It is neutral enough to go with anything, but still has enough depth and variation to stand out. Whether I am serving a casual meal or having people over, these dishes make everything look more put together. Each piece feels solid and well made. The stoneware has a nice weight to it without being too heavy, and nothing feels fragile or cheaply made. The plates are a great size for full meals, and the bowls are perfect for everything from cereal to pasta to soups. I also appreciate how well they stack, which helps save space in my cabinets. One of my favorite details is the partially unglazed base. It not only adds to the aesthetic, but it also gives a bit of grip when stacking or handling the dishes. It is a small touch that makes a big difference in both style and functionality. In terms of everyday use, these have been incredibly convenient. They are both microwave and dishwasher safe, which makes reheating and cleanup easy. I have run them through multiple dishwasher cycles and they still look just as beautiful as when I first got them. No fading, no chipping, and no issues at all. Another thing I love is how versatile this set is. It works just as well for a quick weeknight dinner as it does for hosting guests. It strikes that perfect balance between durable and stylish. Overall, this dinnerware set exceeded my expectations in every way. It is beautiful, sturdy, and designed with both function and style in mind. ... show more

  • Great quality set - miss inclusion of matching cups but pasta bowls make up for it!
Color: White
Our daily use dinnerware for a couple of decades has been a lightweight USA made set from Corelle. We've gotten a lot of years from the set, but of course there has been a couple of breakages and the pattern is out of production. With that in mind, I was extremely interested in this dinnerware set from OTAGO. We chose the white set for our decor, but the gray looked amazing in the photos. The set consists of 6 each of dinner plates, salad plates, cereal bowls, and pasta bowls. I was slightly concerned about the lack of cups, but we've never had pasta bowls in a set before so that was a net positive. We make use of them not only for pasta, but for the different 'bowl' meals (Mediterranean, Asian, etc...) we have at least once a week. Someone else mentioned the packaging, and I have to concur and say that OTAGO has this down to an art and a science. They really do make sure to minimize risk of damage during shipping. The finish on the pieces is great, and I personally like the look and feel of the unglazed bottoms. They are dishwasher safe and microwavable. And the weight - wow, the pieces are solid and heavy. For us and our usage, all of these characteristics as positives. However, I do think the unglazed portion might not be for everyone, along with the weight. That could pose an issue with storage for some that don't have solid cabinetry / shelves. For our usage and decor, this set from OTAGO is a solid 5 stars. With the weight and look/feel of the unglazed portion of the pieces as caveats for others, I give the set 4.5 stars. ... show more

  • Love it!
Color: Gray
They look amazing!! The glazed part of the dishes feel really smooth and soft, no rough bumps or anything. As some have mentioned the bottom part of it is UNGLAZED so beware of that. given that's unglazed it does feel a little rougher than the rest of the plate, considering it's at the bottom it has the potential to accidentally scratch your table or cabinets or counters if handled really rough. of course this can be solved if you have cloth in your cabinets or on your table but if you don't, beware of that. It's not a deal breaker for me but it could for you. as far as the quality it's really good. It shouldn't break from any gentle tap but it is ceramic so of course a drop to the floor will most likely break it. It's easy to clean, dishwasher safe and they are big too! I often notice a lot of dishes come with little surface area which I often found annoying since I don't eat micro meals or something lol. It has decent weight to it. ... show more

  • Beautiful balanced stoneware that feels high end Beautiful balanced stoneware that feels high end
Color: White
I was honestly hesitant about this dinnerware set at first. My wife prefers glazed dishes while I lean toward more natural stone looks. I usually avoid overly glossy dishware because it tends to look a bit artificial to me. These felt like a good compromise and once they arrived I was completely sold. The mix of glaze on top with the unfinished stoneware base looks fantastic in person. The finish feels refined without being overly shiny. The plates are thinner than what we are used to but still feel durable and solid in the hand. My wife especially likes how lightweight they feel while still being sturdy. The sizing has been one of my favorite parts. The pasta bowls are excellent and quickly became the most used pieces in our kitchen. The smaller bowls are actually practical which is rare for full dinnerware sets. Many sets include plates that feel oversized and awkward but these feel just right for everyday meals. Having service for six has been more helpful than expected. We are a family of four but the extra plates and bowls make things easier when the dishwasher is running or when guests come over. These dishes ended up landing perfectly between glossy ceramic and matte stoneware. They look high end without feeling fragile and they fit the style we were hoping for in our kitchen. This set completely won both of us over once we saw it in person. ... show more

  • Okay Stoneware Set
Color: Brown
Received the OTAGO Stoneware set. Was very well packed and had no issues with breakage. Ordered the brown set. Seems to be well made, however would of liked if they came in a mat finish instead of a gloss finish. Liked that they a lead free , dishwasher and microwave safe. They are nice and thick and feel that they will hold up nicely with everyday use. However the only thing I disliked is that they didn't come with Cups that's why I would only use them for everyday use. If I used them for dinner with guest and served coffee/tea after dinner it would have to be in a different color or style cup this is why 3 stars. Reasonably priced for ceramic dishware. ... show more

  • Gorgeous Dinnerware Set with a High-End Feel!
Color: Gray
This dinnerware set is honestly so pretty in person. The color and slightly rustic finish give it a really modern, high-end look without being too flashy. I like that it feels sturdy and not too thin, also the pieces stack nicely which helps with storage. It’s been great for everyday use so far, also it looks nice enough to use when guests come over. Since we don’t have a dishwasher, I was really happy with how easy these are to clean! Food doesn’t stick much at all, also washing them by hand is quick and simple which makes a big difference. One thing to keep in mind is that because of the finish, you might notice slight variations between pieces, but that actually adds to the handmade look. I also have to mention the packaging. They definitely take shipping seriously! Everything arrived well protected, also you can tell they really care about making sure the set gets to you safely. Overall, this is a really nice set if you want something stylish, durable, and easy to maintain for daily use. Def worth the higher price tag! These are made to last! ... show more

  • Almost perfect set Almost perfect set
Color: Gray
This is a very attractive, solid, high-quality set of dishes. The size and shape of each piece is modern and very useful - the larger bowls are perfect for our family, as we eat a lot of salads, grain bowls, and curries. The dishes have done perfectly in the dishwasher, and I haven't noticed any scrapes from silverware yet. My reasons for 4/5 stars are: 1. There was significant mold inside the boxes when I received the set. Some had transferred to the dishes. I was able to remove it with vinegar and a cycle through the dishwasher. 2. The bowls do not nest very well, and therefore they are taking up much more space than I anticipated in my cabinets. 3. The lips on the plates are very low, which is a tiny bit annoying (personal preference). 4. There are spots with missing or thin glaze. These are very minor, but I've attached pictures. Overall a beautiful set, and a very reasonable price. ... show more
