I have had other Oster blenders and have been happy with them. I was looking into an 'all in one' system that included a food processor for basic slicing/dicing an shredding duties to save room and consolidate appliances. Some of the more expensive brands were too tall to fit under my kitchen cabinets while setting on the counter unless I stored the jar off the base. I came across this one with a full function 5 cup food processor and decided to get it. I got the one with the Titan Plastic Jar and love it. It's wider than the glass jar and larger. Plus this one has a nice matte finish dark gray color. This does a great job blending. I have made some great smoothies with frozen fruit, green and whole vegetables and fruit and it pulverizes them. It has some auto settings which work great by alternating the blade direction to help disperse the food. Except when I tried to make 'banana ice cream' with frozen banana's and no liquid I have not had to open the lid to push the food down. It also has three manual speeds and pulse. The high speed is very loud but it is a blender and you're not using it for long periods of time so it's too be expected. I have used the food processor several times. Slices and chops very well! Much easier to clean than the larger food processors with all the parts. I'll be more inclined to use this more often. All the food processor blades and disks can store right in the processor jar with the lid on. This is 1/3 or 1/4 the cost of the more expensive brands and does a great jobs. Plus it fits neatly on my counter under the kitchen cabinets so it's always ready to go!

My previous blender/food processor was also an Oster, but while the blender worked well, the food processor was useless. This replacement works a whole lot better! The bigger jar let’s me make my gazpacho all at once instead of in batches. Plus, there are preprogrammed buttons that take all the guesswork out of smoothies, salsa, and milkshakes. Just press the button and away it goes. It’s loud, but it’s worth it! There are also low, medium, and high buttons as well as pulse, so you can have lots of control when using the food processor for pesto and other recipes that call for adding oil or liquid through the opening on the special food processor lid. The price is fantastic since you get two appliances for the price of one!

I had my kitchen cupboards full with my Vitamix blender, Ninja smoothie blender, and a large and a small food processor, and had to bring out whichever one that I needed to use and then put it back under the counter in the cupboards. I love gadgets, so I had 4-5 of them stored under there. I decided that just having one blender with a processor attachment would solve this dilemma for me; so I ordered the Oster when it was on a lightning deal. I am really pleased with how well it works. The blender sits on my counter, and when I need the processor, I just switch the top to the food processor top. Now I have more free space under the counter, and the Oster takes care of all of my kitchen blending and chopping jobs. I am thinking about getting the little blending cup for it, but really, I do not need that because the blender is fine just as it is. I would not use it for making almond milk, because it just can’t compare with the powerful Vitamix blender; but at least now the Vitamix can be stored away in the pantry unless I need that super blending power. However, I have seen youtube videos that used the Oster for making almond milk, so maybe it would do better than I think, I just have not tried that yet.

Definitely does what it says it will do, but sometimes it over performs! My salsa ended up soupy and grainy (neither chunky nor smooth), and my slushie was a runny fail. It does have power to it, so the chopper only takes a few pulses. Our first time using it, the blade insert was loose and we didn't know it, so we had a huge leak, so make sure you tighten all the parts before using. Overall, I don't hate it, but I would have liked something that can make a proper daiquiri.

I bought this blender-processor combo at a hefty Prime Day discount. I liked the look and sturdy feel of the items. Tried the food processor soon after unpacking and it blew my mind. It performed so much better than the old Cuisinart model it’s replacing. I’m eager to use the blender. If it lets me down, which I doubt it will, I’ll let you know. (A day later…) So I decided to make a peach smoothie in the new blender. I placed all the ingredients into the blender jar, put on the tight-fitting lid, and pressed the “smoothie” button on the motor housing. Bing-bang-boom and in no time I had the perfect smoothie. Just amazing. Later, I found the blender jar and lid very easy to clean, especially as the thick and sturdy plastic jar weighs so much less than the glass jar in my old blender. Bravo Ostet!

The blender works great, all speeds & blender options are powerful enough to complete the job. The food processor seems to have poor quality plastic in the lid and the blade assembly jumps loose if trying to chop say candied ginger ! It took several attempts to reconnect after it would plug up and the the one side of the lid -seen in pic- snapped off. I proceeded to chop the ginger with my knife I have sent a request to Oster consumer and they immediately responded and completely replaced the faulty food processor. Wonderful customer service!
