There is an old saying, "I Hate You Sometimes, But I Love You Always" One has to be married a few years to fully understand that statement. My wife makes smoothies for her breakfast on a daily basis. I previously purchased this same exact blender for her back in 2020. For some unknown reason, she feels this need to assist the blender, by attempting to stir the contents a little while the blender is running. As is not uncommon, she ignored my cautions. In doing so, she accidentally dropped a stainless steel spoon in the blender while it was running. After the explosive sound of incoming shrapnel subsided, we were left with a spoon and a blender that were totally destroyed. She liked this now deceased blender, better than any that she had used. Thus I set out to order her a replacement. Unfortunately, this model had been discontinued. I ordered it 3 times from Amazon and others, only to have them cancel the order because it was no longer unavailable. Fast forward a year later to November 2025, somehow, Amazon had them again. I immediately ordered one. My wife almost did a happy dance when it showed up. This blender just does a fabulous job. The blade configuration is exceptional. It also auto reverses will running. This back-and-forth feature, pulls the contents down in to the blades for better mixing. It also makes it unnecessary to stir it with a spoon while running. (smiling) The jar portion is heavy glass, making it more durable and easier to clean. It has a powerful motor and numerous settings for various applications. This machine is a winner. It does not disappoint. Also, being an Oster brand, one can easily find parts for it.

I have had this Blender for some time now. I was questioning the blades only at the bottom and the price, but the 1200 allows to do a great job making smoothies (auto push button). It is loud, but gets the job done better than any other cheaper ones I have bought. My wife has always loved the glass jar too vs our old plastic one with the old Ninja. I see why now. One of the best purchases on Amazon to date.

I did a lot of research before originally buying this blender (including buying, testing and returning a few other popular models that much better marketing than function) and this was the best bang for the buck. Really, this was the best blender I could find under $100 and anything that actually performed better was several hundred. This blender works fine for smoothies, shakes and pretty much anything else you would want from a budget blender. It has no problem blending through ice and frozen fruit. It as a manual pulse button that makes chopping possible despite the powerful motor. The large jar is designed well and we never have to stop the blender to mix or push things down like we have with other units in the past. Some of the pre-programmed buttons, like the smoothy button, cycle the blade forwards and backwards to better blend ingredients in things from sticking to the sides. It would’ve been nice if there was a manual way to reverse the blade using the pulse button, but that is not possible on this unit. Still, at under $100 I have absolutely no complaints. There are cheaper blenders, but they couldn’t compete and I really got my moneys worth with this one. The personal use cup/jar is a bonus and comes in handy for a quick smoothie breakfast on the go. Pros: fairly versatile, decent size 6 cup/1.25 oz glass jar (jar is actually 8 oz, but filling that far before blending will result in a mess), powerful, reasonably durable, reasonably priced Cons: fairly loud, authentic replacement parts may be difficult to get This is actually my second one, so I have several years experience with it. The first one still works fine, but the glass jar broke after several years and too many heat cycles through the dishwasher. We won’t be running this new jar through the dishwasher, even though it said it’s dishwasher safe. A little warm soapy water on the smoothie cycle and a quick rinse cleans it very well anyway. At the time I bought this one, Oster brand replacement jars were on back order. I had tried one of the knockoff jars sold here on Amazon, but the quality was a joke and it was literally unsafe for use, so it got returned and I just bought a whole new identical blender. One of the advantages of buying this new blender is that the included personal use plastic jar/cup has an upgraded design over our old one (both the personal cup, and the lid for it are improved).

I love smoothies. I make them every day. I literally use my blender daily. I tried all the other more expensive blenders but they never lasted more than one year. I purchased this blender with the expectation that it would not last a year, but figured it was better to spend $75 per year than spending more than $200 per year on a blender. Recently my Oster blender has been struggling to keep up with my demands so I went on Amazon to find a new blender. I was absolutely shocked to see that I purchased this blender FIVE years ago!! You can be sure that I just purchased it again! Pros: Not only is this blender able to handle everything I give it on a daily basis and it has blended strong for 5 years, it also is just a really great blender! I love that the jar is glass. it's heavy duty and doesn't make that horrible scraping sound that plastic blenders make when scraping out the insides with a spoon. Because it's glass, it is clear and not "foggy" like the plastic ones get over time. The blades are removable from the glass jar and dishwasher safe. You can leave the blades screwed on to the jar and place in the dishwasher that way. I usually remove the blades once a month and wash them. There is a gasket that can also be removed and cleaned. Also the glass jar holds a lot. This blender can handle working hard whether the jar is full or if you are making a small batch. The base has buttons instead of a dial which I prefer. It's easy to wipe clean and doesn't take up a ton of space. As a smoothie lover, I initially purchased this model for the smoothie button. It makes perfect smoothies every single time. Cons: It is definitely loud. You're gonna want to pause the TV while blending because there is no way you will hear it over this blender! One other drawback is that the metal bolt or knob the jar fits into on the base gets a little rusty over time. You just need to be sure the bottom of the blades (that fits into the base) is completely dry after washing before you place it in the base. Also, that bolt in the base gets turned slightly when you take the jar off the base. So eventually you have to turn it with your hand to get the jar to seat properly when placed back in the base. Overall the pros definitely outweigh the cons for me. Love this blender! Can't wait for my new one to arrive!

I’ve been very happy with this 1200W blender. It has plenty of power to crush ice, frozen fruit, and blend smoothies into a creamy texture in just seconds. The different speed settings are easy to use, and the preset programs make blending even more convenient. The pitcher feels sturdy, it’s easy to clean, and I like that it can handle everything from smoothies and protein shakes to soups and sauces. It’s a little loud at full power, but that’s expected for a blender this strong. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price. If you’re looking for a reliable, powerful blender for everyday use, I would definitely recommend it.

I upgraded my workhorse 700 W Oster blender to this 1200 W workhorse. It has a nice sizable glass picture for blending which I prefer over the plastic ones. The glass is shatterproof. I've absolutely fallen in love with this blender and use it frequently to make smoothies for breakfast. It's got multiple functions, but I'm perfectly happy with the medium speed blend that turns ice cubes and 4 cups of ingredients into wonderfully smooth smoothie mix. Pitcher pours nicely into glasses without spilling.

A really good value with the glass jar and excellent blending choices. But watch out for the loose fitting lid. Other blenders have more of a rubber top that sticks in. This one will fly off if blending a full jar of liquid. HOLD it down with your hand.
