I like that it is small and doesn't take up much cabinet space. It is pretty quiet when it is turned on. Looks nice and has several trays to use all at once. The directions were not very good. Just a list of some things to dehydrate with some times and temperatures. Doesn't say that the trays should be rotated and doesn't list a lot of items that would be normal to use in a dehydrator. I am a "Newbie" at using a dehydrator and needed more help that the manufacturer supplied in the instructions. I am learning on my own, slowly. I did finally get some strawberry slices done and they are very good to munch on. The reason I didn't give a five star is because the directions just kind of left me hanging. Bought this for our surplus of hot peppers from the garden. Dehydrates them well. Can’t wait to try with other produce. Slight fan noise when running but nothing annoying. The only reason I wouldn’t give five stars is because I wish the trays had a little more height to accommodate thicker peppers (even when cut in half), and when the timer goes off it beeps multiple times and can get annoying if you do the dehydrating over night and it goes off while you’re still asleep (if your appliance is within a decent distance from where you’re sleeping) ... show more

Trays are easy to clean. I like that the temp and time controls are easy to set. I moved the trays around during the dehydration which helped everything get completed about the same time. The fan noise is minimal.
