Quality materials all around. I've installed a fair number of lights now (homeowner, handyman) and this was a breeze for me. It's open faced, so keep that in mind. Also, a second pair of hands will make it much easier to install as the very attractive and heavy metal surround is not the simplest thing to hold in place while you tighten screws with your other hand. Not unexpected, just a comment about installation! I really, really like the design and quality of the materials. I love the heft and look of everything. I used amber filament LED bulbs in mine (it does not come with bulbs). The brushed/textured surface is very high quality - and I point that out to suggest it will last a long time. This is not a cheap light - but is comparible to lights costing twice as much. Very highly recommended. ... show more

My husband needed my help to install this new fixture, but it wasn't difficult. You may need an extra hand. It is well made and all the parts are supplied, even a mini-phillips head screw driver. Being a full 12" square it easily covered the footprint from my old round fixture. A big improvement in the look. It takes two standard E26 60 watt bulbs, but you can increase that by using LED's if you wish. I only had frosted LED's, but have ordered some clear Edison type bulbs in a warm white color for a better look. Since fixtures like this don't get much touching, it should last for many, many years or until you get tired of the look. It does have a classy design which should fit in most rooms. 5 stars for the value, design and functionality. ... show more

This light is an amazing product and has a great price point! Installation was very easy, as it came with all the parts necessary! Only took myself and one other person about ten minutes to install!
