Works great. I put it on my table saw, and plugged the saw and shop vac into it. When I turn on the saw, the shop vac comes on immediately. When I stop the saw, the vac keeps running for a few seconds to clear the hose. It's the most convenient option -- much better than using a remote control to switch the vac on and off.     • Didn’t work for me on a high current distiller.
It worked ok on a saw but didn’t work reliably on a high current distiller and I returned it.

    • No more forgetting to turn on dust collection
I am famous for forgetting to turn the dust collection on. I built a new woodshop and I'm trying to get the dust down on my miter saw so this works fantastic, turning the shop vac on within seconds of squeezing the saw trigger and shuts down seconds after the end of the cut. I hate shop vac noise so I now don't have to listen to it in between cuts. My electrician suggested it and it's perfect for me. ... show more

Stopped switching the vacuum outlet after one month, on both the On and Auto switch positions. This is my second Ortis switch. The first, a different model, lasted a year and a half and failed the same way. I thought I'd give it chance and buy again, trying one of their different models hoping for a better quality build. This one failed just a day after the 30day return period. Unfortunately these are not worth buying if they fail so fast and I will be going back to turning on the vacuum manually. ... show more

    • Vacuum burnt out!
Thought it was great at 1st however I burnt out 2 DeWalt vacuum 's while I used this for my CNC, I turn my vacuum on manually for last month and didn't have a problem since.

I have been using this switch for a week, and so far, it is working as advertised. I attached a 4 outlet power strip for the “tool” outlet so I can plug in my sander, miter saw, and table saw and whenever I turn on that tool, the shop vac automatically turns on. When I turn off the tool, the shop vac runs for an additional few seconds before it turns off. Very pleased so far. If anything changes, I will update this review. ... show more
