Last summer I bought a pair of Altra Lone Peak boots and they fit perfectly until winter came along. They didn't fit with medium thickness wool socks. My feet couldn't move. I switched back to my almost totally worn out New Balance MW1400 boots. I planned on buying a new pair, but I think they are discontinued. I couldn't find them in a men's 9 2E. So the search started. I tried mens Nortiv 8 Armadillo, and Columbia Newton Ridge Plus. All were too tight in one way or another. I also tried Orthofeet Dakota boots, but I accidentally ordered the wrong size. I have no doubt they would have fit well if I got the right size! Last resort I purchased these boots. They fit great and they bend right out of the box. Definitely keepers. They are a bit large. I could have ordered a half size smaller, but when winter rolls around, my wool socks (I have them from medium to really heavy) fit comfortably (I can wiggle my toes!) Fwiw, I live in high desert. Spiky plants, poisonous critters, and Mesquite spikes that can go through tires. I wear boots year round.

I walk around on roads and in yards all day, so I've burned through my fair share of shoes and boots trying to find the best fit. These are it. A good blend of water resistant without being sweaty, supportive without being clunky. I have fairly wide feet, and these have enough room in the Wide width that I could go down a half size. I am 100% ordering Orthofeet from now.

These are very comfortable shoes and fit well. I use them for working around the yard and house. There are two issues I have with these shoes. Several of the metal loops that hold the shoe strings broke after about a year. They literally snapped in half. I was able to find replacements and replaced them myself. 2nd my feet sweat terribly especially in warm weather.

I bought these for a friend who has health problems that cause pain and swelling in his feet. The quality of these hiking boots is a 10 out of 10, and the olive color is very nice. He put them on easily. After a 30 minute walk he loves them,instant comfort straight out of the box. Would recommend these boots worth every penny!

When I first received these I thought they would help with my arch and ankle problem. First thing I had to put all the spacers in and they still felt loose. After wearing them for a while it became apparent that they were weak on support. Got so bad that they were actually causing my ankle to give out. I went back to my store bought shoes that only cost around $40 and I'm walking much better with them.
