Used inside and outside our home. It didn’t have a smell and the bugs died on contact. We have loads of grasshoppers, box elder bugs, elm bugs and earwigs. It worked on all but the earwigs so far. We just sprayed last week and see a huge difference. Still not big free but greatly reduced!

    • No more fleas!! Finally!! And no allergic reactions to this one.
Dealt with a flea infestation in my backyard, the parameters of my mobile home, and every little nook they could hide or burrow in throughout the insulation. They hid up in the ceiling window screens. They hid in every bit of fabric I had in the house too, so I had to gather it all in air tight Tupperware containers and wash + high heat dry it for weeks. The positive benefit that came out of this is my clothing storage is much more organized into clear bins! My two cats brought in the little buggers. They of course had to be treated as well. But this stuff. This stuff. After weeding, spreading diatomaceous earth all around my backyard and around the home, spreading baking soda & salt everywhere indoors & out, after spraying clove bud and other dilute essential oils all around for just a couple hours of protective effects. After spreading upholstery flea powder around the home with only so so results, mainly from the combo of vacuuming it some time after brushing it in. Black flag was potent, & did reasonably well with the first round of fleas but noticed was coughing a lot during it's application and broke out in hives from it later. Also the fleas seemed to return after a week or two. But this Ortho home defense. I sprayed it around the edges of the parameters outdoors, indoors in all the cracks and corners, and yes try to get even the heater vents if you can as the buggers hide in there! The edges of windows/sills where they may jump in, the bottoms of doors. The corners of stairs. Behind large appliances. Then make sure to keep the treated areas cleared of human or pet foot traffic for a good portion of the day until it safely dries. That way can avoid the initial freakouts of the fleas jumping onto you or pets for non-sprayed hiding places as they die off, too. After doing this, finally the fleas are no more. Occasionally very small ones will drift over from neighboring yards, but the spray in combo with flea treating pets and upholstery appears to prevent them from growing into the big biting jerks that I'm allergic to, and prevents them from multiplying like mad as per their usual. Kind of frustrating since I ordered it online for convenience but now I get to go return it and go to the store to buy something I can actually use. Missing the nozzle! Looks like happened to MANY others as well. Amazon did give me a credit but have to find a spray bottle now and that will make outside application more difficult

Imo, this is the only stuff that actually works. I spray it outside around the perimeter of my house. Around the doors and windows and then I spray the inside. I am happiest when I am bug free.... Spiders and centipedes... *shudder* This stuff keeps me from burning my house down. 😂 Why is Amazon giving me a hard time purchasing the smaller one? Says it won't deliver to my address. And Amazon has so idea why. ... show more

[Edit: I wrote the review below after just one week. It's been 18 months since I bought this stuff. I've only "reapplied" it when I've seen a bug inside- so TWICE. Yup, I have sprayed 3 times in 18 months. The bottle is still basically full, so I will probably be passing it down to my heirs. I've got like 300 years of stock, talk about INVESTMENT. Anyway, everything below is still true 18 months later). Cons: every now and then I see dead bugs outside my door or on my window sill , which is kinda gross. PROS: UMMM THERE ARE NO EFFING BUGS IN MY HOUSE ANYMORE, since day 1. Literally day 1. I live in a studio apartment on the 4th floor in Texas and was waking up each morning to a new horrific roommate crawling in my house. Sometimes it was a centipede, roach, secada, mosquitos, fruit flies, species I couldn’t identify I’m not a scientist, people. So I sprayed this stuff on the outside of my door (top to bottom), inside of my doorway (bottom only), outside of my patio doors and Windows (top to bottom), inside of patio door / windows (bottom only). I really didn’t want to spray this stuff above ankle level indoors because it is poison after all and I’m not trying to accidentally touch it and go blind or something. I dunno. Like I said, I’m not a scientist, people. Point is- this stuff works. Any bugs that come near my house die before entry (gross) but at least they’re dead and not inside my damn house acting like they own my damn house. Very happy. Hope this is safe and not causing low key radiation poisoning, but whatever, I’m BUG FREE. Also I barely used any. It’s been a week and I will likely reapply soon for good measure but this will 100% last me a full year at once a week. ... show more
