Description

The Bosch GWS13-50VS 5-Inch Angle Grinder delivers more power than previous- generation models with the same size tool - 13 amps and up to 11,500 rpm. The lower variable-speed setting - 2,800 rpm - allows the operator to match speed to application. For operator comfort and control, it sports a two-position Vibration Control side handle, making it less demanding to run. The grinder has constant electronics for easy starts, level operation and dependable speed under load. For user security, it an integrated acceleration sensor to limit inadvertent recoil and restart protection to protect against unintended startup. It has a burst-protection quick tool less adjustable guard and a large spindle lock for more convenient disc change. It was designed with directed air flow to divert dust from vital components, direct-motor cooling and Service Minder brushes that stop the grinder when preventative maintenance is required - which promote longer tool life.

I use this for cutting granite and marble, after using Makita for years, this is much better overall , more powerful than any other angle grinder with the toughest materials, also last longer than Makitas , I would definitely recommend this to anyone

    • Nice angle grinder, but not really made for use by women.
I needed a variable speed angle grinder and they are not easy to find. This one has it. Works fine. But, as a woman, I find it very hard to turn it on. With the switch, you have to be able to push it up to lock it in place. It’s not easy with small hands and using your thumb. I have had to hold it between my knees and then can lock it in place with both hands. Overall though I like it. ... show more

    • It's a solid machine
The variable speed is why i bought it and it works great. It is pretty heavy for extended one handed use. The switch is stiff and makes frequent on off switching cumbersome but the whole machine feels like a work horse that will last. Happy that I bought it.

This variable speed grinder is great in most every way. It handles nice and the vibration is low. It works great so far and I have been working it hard for about a week now. The only complaint I have is the power switch. I am using the grinder to clean the logs of a 100 year old cabin after I have media blasted it and it creates a lot of saw dust. The saw dust gets in the switch and makes it so the switch will not function and you can't turn off the grinder. I think the switch is a poor design and in fact I think it is a safety hazard. I like the grinder for everything else, but the switch is not good. ... show more

    • Variable speed is what I needed.
I had to grind off some left over floor coating around the drain on my garage floor before recoating with polyurea. My full speed grinder would have been way too aggressive and difficult to control. This fit the bill, using it at the lowest speed. I tried using my orbital sander with diamond grit sand paper and I was getting nowhere. ... show more

    • Boschgrinders are the best
We use bosch at the construction company I work in. A lot. We probably have around 40 different bosch grinders, my boss even won the bosch quad off road razor thing. That being said some people don't like the labor so they Take the abuse on the tools to break them an not work, (bunch of lazies) and they still manage to hold up. We use other yellow tools as well (I'm more of a yellow guy. Got all 20v system) but when it comes to grinders and jack hammers, bosch is the best. I'm a yellow guy with a bosch grinder ... show more
