This item is acceptable. It DOES give a clear build up after the first use. You will only notice it when you spray water to your edges to clean up the old gel and reapply. This gel is lightweight and it cleans up well. You can rub the residue off with ease. The product DID NOT hold down my edges at all. I had to apply Got To Be holding gel on top of it and allow it to air dry, once I noticed this gel wasn't holding. Overall, I will recommend this lightweight gel for my family locs.
