I wanted the longest, warmest down coat I could find in a vibrant color…not black, navy, gray, or dark olive. I don’t look good in dark colors. They wash me out. I couldn’t get my photos to add, but I just got my Fruit Green coat and it is beautiful! It looks like an olive green in the dim light of my apartment, but a brighter yellow green outdoors, in the sun. I love the brighter shade I see in better light! Fortunately, green is the only color I can wear most shades of. That’s why I bought it, even though I was not sure of the shade, based on photos. I am 202 pounds, 5’7” and 36F. I started out buying XXL. because I usually wear an XL or 0X-1X coat and wanted room for layers. The XXL was too big in the waist. The coat has an elastic section in the rear waist. It looked really funny, with that being baggy. I wasn’t sure if the coat was as thick as I need for the Upper Midwest U.S.. I read reviews saying it fluffs up thicker, after a few days, but I still don’t know that it would keep me warm in -30 F to -50F temps. I found a thin, packable puffer in close to the same color and had ordered it to wear underneath. Base layer puffers are more expensive and some research told me they are, basically, the same thing. I wanted one of the “thickened” coats, but this is more my style, so that was my solution. I was saddened to find that the XL was sold out. Only the Large had ONE left. Surprisingly, it matched my measurements, almost exactly, on the size chart. It came today. It fits like it does on the model, but does not give me her backside. Lol. It still looks good, with a little less junk in the trunk. I don’t think it has room for the packable puffer I bought to go under it, so I will have to see how much cold it can handle. Based on my experience with other coats of this heft, I have already ordered a 750 fill down coat, as well . I think this will be good for wearing dresses under and still keeping heat close to my body, since it’s fairly form-fitting on me. It’s quite flattering, when the snaps are done up, which is rare (for a puffer coat). I can still move comfortably and move my arms freely, which is very important. I had a neck injury that caused degenerative disc disease and dystonia, so coats that are too small in the shoulders are painful! This has room and does not look too boxy, like some that are bigger in the shoulders. However, it could be This will make a nice coat for dressing up and I will also have my “sleeping bag” coat, for when warmth is all that matters. Update: I returned the XXL for a Large and it does fit perfectly! The packable thin down puffer does fit under it, making it an extremely warm coat, altogether. My puffer ran 2 sizes small, so it’s kinda funny…I’m wearing a 4X liner under a Women’s Large coat and it fits perfectly! ... show more

This is the warmest coat I have ever worn. I live in northern Indiana and this winter has been bitterly cold with a lot of snow. I was so warm even shoveling snow that I almost was too warm. It is long so it covers me all the way down to my lower shin. I am 5”1 and quite busty and it zips and snaps all the way up. I can comfortably put my hands in the pockets. They are able to be zipped. They are nice and deep. The fur around the hood looks and feels good. When zipped, it is a little difficult to get into the car but the coat has a dual zipper so you can pull the lower zipper up until you can easily move and climb into an SUV. I bought the cream and it has stayed looking new even after rubbing against a dirty car. Dirt does not show/stay on the coat. Great value! ... show more

Bought this for walking my pup early on cold mornings. It wasn’t expensive so I wasn’t sure if it would do the job but, it has been perfect. I must state I live where the temperature rarely dips below the high teens. I had to get used to the low double zipper but, love being able to zip or unzip the upper or lower half of the coat. I find the material is easy to clean (wipe off dog licks & snots), it is lightweight and comfortable, and I am very cozy and warm just as I had hoped. For the price, I was not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised. The coat is really nice. The bad: I am 5’9” the coat length fits but sleeves are a bit short. The hood is huge and virtually unusable because of the size , it completely covers my face when on my head. Fortunately it zips off. The coat does not have a particularly feminine or flattering shape but I am thin so it might just seem that way on me. . I still like the coat. The good: the color looks great, I got the green. It has a zipper and snaps which is great since zippers don’t last these days. The coat is much heavier than I expected. I’ve not had to test it out but I believe it will be decent for warmth. Disclosure: Have not worn in cold/wet/windy environment yet. Will update Runs true to size. Said I was a large and I bought an XL and a L. The XL was roomy and super comfy, but not as form-fitting/flattering, so I went with the L. Fits great (fits large bust), but arms are a little snug. Several comments on the hood. It is large, but I like that. It can be worn very comfortably over a hat and I think it will stay up. Would be nice to be able to secure or tighten it somehow...and I WISH it had more pockets. Just has two zippered. Update: Wore this to blustery North East trip and winter in Banff Canada. Both had sub freezing and windy temps. bottom line: if you are standing still and not moving, you will definitely feel the wind and get cold. I move around a lot and this coat kept me toasty. It's always so hard to buy something online and nearly impossible to trust reviews but I'm here to tell you that if you're on the fence with this coat, BUY IT. It's very warm. Nice and long (I'm 5'8" 148lbs). It goes to the top of my shin, so below the knee. The fur around the hood is soft and well done. I bought a medium and it fits perfectly. I'm thrilled with this coat. I got it in the off-white, love the color. The sleeves have stretch cuffs inside that keep cold air from coming up your arm. Wearing this coat is like wearing a house - you won't get cold! Yet it's very lightweight and doesn't restrict your movements at all. The elastic panel on the back gives you some waist definition and is very flattering. The only issue I have is that the hood is really big, and tends to come down over your eyes; I usually end up cuffing it back. Still, a wonderful coat for a really great price! Oh, forgot to mention something... The wide collar is great because when the hood is up, the collar folds upward inside and is high enough to completely cover and keep your ears warm!
