I’ve worn it a couple times and so far it has kept me warm in cold snowy weather. It looks really nice with the waist “snatched.” I like the length, especially with my long skirts. The faux fur lining is very soft and barely sheds -if at all. There are at least three hidden pockets in addition to the two front pockets -great for gloves. The hood is nice and big, maybe a little too big because it can easily cover your eyes (it’s like a furry igloo for your head). But I guess that can come in handy if it’s super cold and you want to protect your face. Anyway, I really like it so far. Seems good quality. I wasn't used to this overall coat style but now I love it. I'm 5'3" and 120 lbs and this coat reaches at my knees and has PLENTY of room for me to layer as much as I need. The inside is so soft from the fur and the cinched inner hand cuffs are really secure and comforting. I love how high up you can zip it to keep your neck warm, and the coat actually has a double-zipper, so I'll unzip a little at the bottom to make it wider and essier for me to manuever like when I get into a car. Plenty of pockets that can be securely zipped or buttoned up. It's actually very comfortable down to 30ish degrees so far even without layering; I don't feel the cold at all and only realized how cold it actually was when my uncovered face and fingers began to go numb. I think if it got any colder, I could easily layer underneath the coat and be good to go. And it's extremely stylish, my husband keeps complimenting how I look in it all the time lol. The inside lining is T-H-E softest thing I've ever felt!! Even softer than minky blankets!!! It actually fits me correctly, and I like that there are wrist cuffs hiding under the sleeve. I don't like the slicky nylon feel of puffer jackets, so this one is perfect. The coat came just as our temperatures started falling, and it is extremely warm and toasty! The ONLY feature I DON'T like about the coat is the center of the bottom in back - it has a slit about 6-8" up (made that way), and there are two strings that dangle down (drawstrings). I'm not sure WHY, but since I can't actually see that when I'm wearing it, it's not that big of a deal. It drives my husband nuts, but I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the feel of this coat! Especially considering I got it on sale for around $80! It's well made, so it should last me for years to come. I would definitely buy it again!!! ... show more

I have been searching for a coat like this for an eternity! I wanted a coat that was longer and hit below the waist, with fur/fleece lining, a hood, and a shaped waist. This completely delivered! The fur lining inside feels extremely soft and warm. Note that the fur is in the body and the hood but not in the sleeves. It seems high quality and well made. The pockets are large. They are slightly angled so sometimes a little tough to get your hands in but not bad. Also note that the flaps are just for decoration and the actual pockets are the zippered ones above the flaps. I ordered the Small and it fit as expected. I tried it on with two sweatshirts just to see if I could layer and it is snug but still fit well. I love that the button near the top allows you to fully cover your neck/just below the chin so you feel cozy warm. I am excited to use this for chilly East coast winters. I also like the waist cinchers which make the jacket feel more shapely and avoids the "stuffed garbage bag" look of bulky winter coats. The only negative for me is that the jacket is not waterproof. The outer layer is made from a thick, polyester/cottony type of material so it will protect you from wind and maybe a little moisture but it is not waterproof. So happy I found this! Update 1 year later: I still like this coat but it will not keep you warm in sub-zero temperatures. I live in the northeast US. In the 30s Fahrenheit is probably as low as you’d want to go. It does not have much insulation. Also, it’s a bummer that the hood does not have a draw string. It looks great and good for mild winter days but not an all-weather coat. ... show more

TL;DR This coat was significantly better quality than I expected and is now my go-to winter coat. The quality of clothing I’ve bought through Amazon has always varied wildly. It’s always some random string of letters and a slideshow of poorly edited photos of the same woman in the same pose. But my LLBean coat was unexpectedly snug and it was Prime Day. There were articles about “The Coat” from Orolay 2-3 years ago, so I looked it up and realized there were a ton of coat options. I picked this one bc it was the least expensive coat that still had all my must-haves - snug cuffs at the wrist to keep the wind out, buttons on the placket for a quick close, a relatively flattering silhouette, long enough to cover my butt if I sit, water-repellent, had a hood & some pockets. The coat is great - I could not believe how cozy the plush lining is! And the stitching is by far the best I’ve seen on any Amazon-sold item. Like, folded flat seams and everything. There are 3 points I don’t love but make sense for the price point considering the good construction: the pockets are so weird (the flaps in the picture are just decoration, the zipper is plastic, and it’s heavier than I expected. None of those things have kept me from recommending this coat. I’ve received a handful of compliments and inquiries about where I bought it as well. If you’re not in a position to drop several hundred dollars on a sturdy winter coat from an outdoor/outerwear company, this is an excellent option. ... show more

Ordered an xl and it didn’t help my curvy figure I felt like a square lol even though I tried adjusting the waist belt there wasn’t much difference. If you don’t care how it looks then yes it’s the perfect warm winter coat. (The bottom back area also looks funny with the strings).
