  • Hands down. A very powerful amplifier
Style: 1-Channel 2500 Watts
I had no problems installing to my custom box. It is powering 3 12" Kicker L7's at 1.39 ohms. I already had 1/0 ofc power wire with 2 battery's in a 2007 suburban. To date this is the loudest system I have ever had. Every person that I had sit in the vehicle could not believe how load it was. So a really great amp. The con is going to be the remote bass knob. This knob is very cheap. Mine was completely destroyed with the knob coming out of the housing. The bass knob was replaced by seller through amazon and received it very promptly. The knob I received was this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J2QXBB2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have verified that it will work with the original wire or the wire that comes with the aftermarket knob. I am getting some feed back from the amp to the subwoofers while the volume is completely turned down. It seems to only be noticeable when driving so will need to narrow it down. The amp before this was a 1500 watt Kicker and had zero bass noise when volume off. If your going to use a bass knob buy one while your ordering this amp. would definetaly purchase this amp again. ... show more

  • Great little amp
Style: 1-Channel 1500 Watts
Killed my 1000 watt 10 yr old Niche sub. Lol. I have a sundown U2-D4 1500Rms coming in today. Waiting to put that in. Make sure the REM output is more than adequate when wiring this. I was using 5 vlts and was running hot and cutting on and off before i replaced it. Works fine now til i blew my old sub. Make sure to turn down gain/bass lv before power. Highly recommended. More than enough power for a single sub aplication or dual lower rms subs. Update: i had this for about 10 months now and its still working outstanding. Original subs are the sundown u2 d4 and replaced it with the d2 so i can wire at 1omhs. What a difference!! I thought it was loud before but its just rediculous now. Not even turn half way up and my car just shakes when the booms hits. Make sure to replace battery and use 0 gage on your wiring. Yellow top is what im using. ... show more

  • ordered this amp but got the next size up!
Style: 1-Channel 2500 Watts
bought this am about 3 months ago and its worth it.. but it was out of stock . so he sent me a xtr2500 amp instead!! woot woot!! (2500.1d) 1050 at 4 ohms-1600 at 2 ohm and 2500 at 1 ohm, all at 12.5 volts! nice man very nice!! i guess i caught him at the right time ot get one. i cant find that model number anywhere on the net but i have one!! its not the old one it is the xtr like the one shown. he said it was a newer model. its not on orions website also. ( its never updated anyhow) i have some xtr pro subs from orion and you only see the regular xtr now. not the pro. but anyhow. its a nice amp. buy it. sound is good and clean . the bass nob is NOT a bass knob, its a remote gain control.even better! adjustable phase for subs not a 0-180 switch bass boost works like it should.. i like that its rated at 12.5 volt and it comes with a birth sheet . mine is under the specs on the box but trust me . when u have 1550 watts at 12 volts as opposed to at 14.4, at 2 ohms. you arent complaining . most amps barely do rated at 14.4 much less being real wattage.. end result is i like it .. id buy it again if i needed too. ... show more

  • Not the Orion of old
Style: 1-Channel 500 Watts
Back in the day, Orion was top tier stuff. I remember upgrading my sub amp at one time to a 250SX, and the difference was unbelievable. I bought this amp to do the same... upgrade from a Hifonics amp I had in place. When I first put it in, I was a bit disappointed in that it didn't seem to be better as I had expected. Then, a couple of weeks later, it started cutting out, and a few days later, it quit. I troubleshot everything, thinking it couldn't be my new Orion amp... I must have had a bad connection somewhere. Lots of trouble shooting later, I put the Hifonics amp back in and Voila... it was the less than 1 month installed Orion amp that quit. I'll stay with the Hifonics... it's a great amp. This one... not so much. Funnily enough, I just noticed one of the Orion speaker I put in the door has started making crackling noises the last couple of days, so I guess it's across the board with Orion now... too bad, but this is crap equipment now. ... show more

  • Not exactly what’s pictured
Style: 1-Channel 2500 Watts
Amp showed up quickly and is brand new. The only issue, I specifically ordered from this vendor because the item pictured shows the amp having the RJ11 connector for the remote bass know. What I received has the 1/8th inch phono jack connector for the remote bass knob, which isn’t ideal. Nice amp though and a great price. ... show more

  • EXTREMELY SATISFIED! (Updated year or so later)
Style: 4-Channel 750 Watts
Took a while for tolerable temperatures 2 run this fantastic piece of engineering in the ride but worth the wait after initial testing. It runs my 4 components beautifully! Never getting rid of it! Still waiting for my monoblock and eventually my 2 batteries to replace my temporary battery but the fact that I can get by happily with the components ran off the first two channels and temporarily run my sub @4ohms bridged keeps the smile on my face till I can complete my project. Great great piece of engineering. (Updated Commentary) Has handled two winters with ease. Had originally ran the1st 2 channels for the front n rear components and the single 10 until I got a monoblock. After monoblock was purchased I got 2 run my components on each channel finally. After testing what worked best (high pass or full range) I figured out what I was satisfied with. Utilizing the dsp on the head unit I will not settle for any other 4 channel. I cannot wait to order 2ohm 6.5" with 1" tweeter components that carry 2ohm load for the fronts & rears now that I have finished upgrading the subs. This amp is a beast even if you part it out for half highs/mids and other half bass. Just make sure you utilize the high & mids down as low as 2ohms (in my case average of 208watts @13.6volts) and mono 4 ohms bridged (750 watts rms). ... show more
