I have this on a 50 gallon drum that I catch rain water in. It works very well at my off grid camp. I pump water into a bucket then carry it inside for use. This pump moves a large volume of water quickly. It is all plastic, but seems fairly durable and is sturdy when installed. Its performance and quality is beyond my expectations. I am considering digging a shallow well and using this as the primary pump, it's that dependable. For the price and quality you simply won't go wrong with this hand pump especially if using with a drum.

Just picked up the Orion Motor Tech drum pump for the garage. It does the job transferring fuels and chemicals from barrels, but I have to say it feels a bit on the cheap side. The lever action works fine for now, but the materials don't seem like they'll hold up to heavy use. The construction feels flimsy, and I'm not sure how it'll fare over time. If you're not using it every day, it'll probably serve you well enough. Just don't expect top-notch durability. For occasional use, it's a decent buy, but if you're looking for something more robust, you might want to consider other options.

Got this because we have a bunch of 55gal drums we use for water. This one we're going to setup out in the field and fill it with water so we can draw from it at the spot when needed instead of always hauling water out there. This makes us do less trips other than the big fills to refill it which is fine.

This arrived in its own box inside of an Amazon box. It was well packaged and all the parts were included as expected. I live in the middle of nowhere and we have an underground cistern that stores all of our water. A pump then electronically runs to push the water into the house on demand. So I wanted this pump in case of a longer-term electrical outage I would still be able to use the water in my underground cistern. This hand pump seems to be well built. It was easy to put together and it works as I was hoping it would. It's easy to take back apart and store in its original box for use for when you actually need it. For me this is peace of mind in case there's ever a long-term electrical outage in my area.

I needed a pump that is not built out of carbon steel, because rust would be an issue in pumping water-based liquids. This polypropylene pump has adjustable flow rates by utilizing the three different holes on the pump handle. Each hole positions the fulcrum to lift the pump shaft different distances. This allows you to adjust the quantity of material flowing up through the pump. Good design, I hope it lasts.
