These Orion speakers definitely fight in a bigger weight class than you pay for. I just put a Taramps 440W 2 channel amp to them and they sound outstanding. I cannot believe that they are as cheap as they are. I love that they come with the mounting screws and sheet metal nuts, speaker wire and the crossovers so I don't have to buy extra wire and hardware. Put these in my RV doors, they really are a huge improvement over stock speakers. They are being run off a pioneer deck. I have a lot of different systems at different price points and I can’t think of a value oriented speaker I like more. I think they add a little flair to the music. Deep notes will need a subwoofer but I think these play everything else in a warm transparent fashion. Some might find them bright, I think they might come a live with a little amp power. One came sounding like static and the other started sounding like static after a day. Contacted the company they said they would send out a package so I can send them back to them but that was weeks ago and I haven't seen anything yet. They suck.

I installed the ORION Cobalt 2-way component speakers in my 1993 ford ranger, and the difference in sound quality is incredible. The clarity is crystal clear, the highs from the tweeters are sharp without being harsh, and the bass is deep and punchy for a 5.25” setup. Music sounds full and balanced, whether I’m listening to rock, hip-hop, or podcasts. Installation was straightforward—everything I needed was included, and the external passive crossovers make sure the sound is perfectly distributed between the woofers and tweeters. These speakers sound excellent and can handle their rated power very well without distortion, however the glue they used to adhere the surround to the basket is inferior and both speakers had to be reglued.
